Same set at this morning. Already had 4 does come by just out of range. Looking good if they're moving this early

Anyone tried tickling antlers yet? I think it's too early for an all out battle but might try a light tickle this morning

Got in the stand about 40 mins before light. Right at first light had 4 does walk by at 5 yds. Too dark to shoot. It man was that neat. First time sitting this set and it's deeper in the woods than I've gone all season. Hopefully a big boy follow their lead and life will be good

The first time I sway in a tree with the wind always catches me off guard at the beginning of each season. It's blowing pretty hard around blackford county

Anyone ever shoot a red squirrel with a bow? Sounded like it swallowed a squeak toy. I was tempted! I'd recommend small game heads if you're gonna do that. Puts a stop to the squeaking real quick and you won't lose an arrow as easily

Reading all this really has me missing opening day! But, I have customers scopes and other items to dip today so that comes first. Doing adult things really stinks sometimes! LOL! Work hard play hard 😉 it'll be worth it

My go to is my Lone Wolf Sit and Climb. This past year I picked up a Lone Wolf Alpha along with 3 Muddy Hunter sticks. I found a few spots that are going to be perfect for the Alpha that I couldn't have gotten to with my climber. Needless to say I'm happy with both products and they will be my main stands for the year. I also have 2 ladders and an older hang on that have been out that I let guests use if I have friends hunt with me.

I hunt 62.5 acres in Blackford. It's some of the thickest stuff I've ever seen. Place hasn't been touched since my Grandpa passed away so were talking 20+ years of growth. It's also got a 2.5 acre pond on it. Love that place

I have about 62 acres in blackford county. I've already got the deer I want for the year but I'm trying to get my friend his first deer. If I want to go out and try to get a coyote with my bow, is there anything I can do to prove that I'm not out there trying to shoot deer? I don't want to run into any issues of people thinking we're party hunting or anything like that. Would it be best to just wait until after deer season is out? Let me know thanks!

late on the reply but a doe down for bucks lives matter That is a great picture. Love the way everything goes together to make a great picture. Congrats on the doe to thanks! my dad was coming out to try and help me drag her out but he was coming from work and got there just as I was finishing up. Luckily for me he's a photographer at Ball State and happened to have his camera with him so we hurried and got a good shot as the sun was setting. It was a great way to end the first night in the stand for me.
