I have a square TV and an antenna, no sattelite or cable. I really only get one channel with anything worth watching. It has been almost a year since I dumped the TV service and I really don't miss it other than occaisionally I get the urge to watch the outdoor channel. It's kinda funny when I go to my parents house I take over their TV to get my ifx.

Without looking up exact specs I can tell you the XT has a bigger brace height, ATA is slightly shorter, IBO slightly slower and uses a similar but slightly different cam. The LD has the same specs as the Switchback except a considerably slower IBO speed and a 2 inch longer brace height. You can find the exact specs by looking at both bows on the mathews web site under the dicontinued section. What do you need for the XT? I currently shoot an S2 which is the same as the Switchback except they shaved a couple of ounces off the overall weight of the bow other than that it is identical to the Switchback including the cam

I am just getting into traditional archery. I have a longbow that is 55# @ 28" and I draw close to 28". I have a 1/2 dozen new goldtip prohunter 55/75 with qucik spins. Some of these arrows have not been shot and one of them has the crest partially worn off from being shot into a straw bale target. These arrows measure 28" from the the tip of the nock to the insert. I am looking to trade these for a 1/2 dozen arrows that are properly spined for my longbow and fletched with feathers. Let me know what you have. Also I would prefer a face to face transaction. I know this belongs in the classifieds but I figured it would get more attention here.

This may have been your worst in 20 years but it may have been someone else's best. There are more birds being harvested in north also. For what its worth everyone I know that kills a bird every year killed a bird this year. It was a tough year for me but I still got it done just not in the same place I usually do.

I have killed several nice bucks but I still get very excited every time I send an arrow through a slick head as a matter of fact I don't think I would like deer hunting as much if it weren't for killing does, one and done on the bucks isn't very fulfilling

Went on a scout trip today saw a few bucks even a couple of shooters. Sure was nice to get out and see some deer instead arguing about them on the internet.

I didn't take it that way. Like I said in my original post these proposals benefit me as a archer but I still don't like it beacause of how it effects the gun hunters.

I am well aware of that. Its just too bad it has to be a part of deer hunting.

Unfortunately that is how the game is played at this time. You can choose to participate or not. Well at least someone will admit that is how things work.

If herd reduction is really the goal taking away opportunity makes no sense no matter what spin you put on it. If that was the goal why not leave season as it currently is and add the early and late antlerless seasons that they are proposing.

Form your own stakeholder group with some like minded folks. Make your voices heard. Nobody is stopping you. That comment is getting old also. If the results of a survey of Indiana deer hunters that said they do not support shortening of the seasons is not listened to why would anyone think they would listen to a newly formed group. Again the term stakeholder really gets me. Why does a small group get to be a stakeholder, there needs to be a better process for polling the deer hunting public and that input should carry more weight than the opinions of these so called stakeholder groups. If I formed a stakeholder group it would just be more of the same, a group of people trying to mandate their opinons on the rest of the state. one of two things needs to happen 1. Can all the stakeholders and let the biologist do their job or 2. Can all the stakeholders and listen to the deer hunting public

Every time I see this it ticks me off. To me a stakeholder is someone that owns part of something, so to me anyone that hunts deer in Indiana is a "stakeholder". The way I see it the true "stakeholders" are about to get the shaft because per the survey the real "stakeholders" said they did not support any shortening of the current seasons. This excuse of herd reduction is really funny because the last time I checked we have been setting record harvests and the antlerless bag limit is very liberal and then there is the fact that people will only kill a certain number of deer regardless of seasons, dates or bag limits. I really feel bad for the firearm only deer hunter. This will proposal will not really effect me beacause I hunt with all weapons and primarily archery so I will still hunt 50+ days a year and kill the same amount of deer I always kill, but this is not about me this is about what is fair for all Indiana deer hunters. I know how passionate I am about deer hunting and if I was only a firearm hunter knowing that I was only going to get 9 days to partake in the event that I look forward to and think about every day of the year I would be fighting mad.

I really doubt the over all harvest will change that much. The only thing that has been accomplished is lost time to hunt especially for the firearm only deer hunter. The bottom line is people are only going to kill the amount of deer they want. If a person only wants two deer they are only going to kill two deer. And for the record I hunt with all weapons and primarily archery.

"stakeholder committee"
That in its self says a lot. To me a stakeholder means you own a part of something and to me every deer hunter is a stakeholder. How many average deer hunters were selected to be on this committee? As far as I know there were none. To be fair there should be deer hunters with no tie to any organization randomly selected to be on such a committee. To say that those people on this committee are stakeholders implies to me that their opinion matters and mine does not. This is also very apparent to me by the proposals compared to the results of the survey. Seems to be a common theme these days that the peoples voice does not matter.

I don't know why they don't address the license structure. The weapon specific license's need to be done away with. There should only be antlerless and antlered deer license's, not archery, firearm and muzzleloader. You should be able to purchase one antlered deer license that is good throughout the duration of deer season, since you can only kill one buck. The weapon specific license's would make sense if you were allowed to kill a seperate buck with each weapon. This really doesn't effect me because I have a lifetime license, but for those who don't if you don't kill a buck in firearms having to buy two seperate license's for two 9 day seaons is silly.
