We are tightwads and still us our old, cube-shaped TV. Well, we were watching "Jeopardy" tonight and everybody looked squished..then the clues came up and the ends were cut off on our screen. So were the catagories at the top of the screen. I guess the network has optimized the feed for widescreen TV's since most people have bought them. Heck with us dinosaurs!

We have 3 of the cubes. Will likely update as they need replaced. Same with vehicles, we'll drive 'em til they ain't got any drive left in 'em.

Ditto...The TV in the kichen is the "cube" style and so is my computer monitor. Vehicles? Momma wants a new one but her's only has 106,000 miles on it. For a Toyota that isn't even broke in good yet. I told her that as soon as that money from that email is in the bank account she can have any vehicle she wants.

Atleast your TV can be repaired, which some newer ones can't. We had an old Zenth TV purchased back in 1975 and it lasted 25 years!! The only thing that needed replacing was the tunner.

I have a square TV and an antenna, no sattelite or cable. I really only get one channel with anything worth watching. It has been almost a year since I dumped the TV service and I really don't miss it other than occaisionally I get the urge to watch the outdoor channel. It's kinda funny when I go to my parents house I take over their TV to get my ifx.

If you are waiting for an old tv to actually break before replacing it you might be waiting a loooooong time.
I still have a 31" tube tv in my bedroom ..... only 15 years old and works like the day I bought it.

Our TV in the living room is the cube type, 32" magnavox. My buddy gave it to me 4 years ago. It rolled around in the bed of his truck for a week before I got it from him, so it has a few scratches on the screen. I replaced the cord and it works great. You can tell the new display shape is for the new rectangle shaped HD ones.
