I seen on another website, cant remember which, that showed a breakdown of bc bucks killed in indiana. It broke it down year to year since I believe the mid seventies. It then showed since the one buck rule was in effect. The numbers went up but not by a huge amount...off the top of my head it was 8 to 10 a year compared to past. Everyone on the message board was talking about how great the one buck rule was working. My arguement is this. I think if we had the internet around back in the earlier years we would have seen the same numbers, if not more. Now if anyone kills a decent buck they have it scored and put in the books. How many older deer do you think a year have never been scored because scoring wasnt nearly as BIG as it is now when everyone has to tell what there deer scored instead of just a description of what it was. I know there are 4 to 5 that would make the books in my family alone that were killed in the 80's to early 90. No one really worried about the score, you just told people you killed a big 10 pointer. Let the arguing begin. Do you really think that many more big bucks were killed now than later. I think the only difference is now every ten pointer or bigger pops up on the internet where before the net or cell phone pics you never had a clue what anyone else in the state killed.

you are not joking about big ones in th city limits. My stepdad, who has 2 booners, kicked the same buck up by brandywin park 2 years ago on two different occasions. He said that it made both of his look little. I hunt south on brandywine creek

hancock and henry counties. Rough season 3 bucks total. One small one on stand and 2 other small ones seen walking 2 stand. Does were seen bout every other hunt in shotgun season, once muzzleloader started all deer vanished. Probably 9-10 total muzzy hunts, seen 3 does on first day of muzzy and that was it.

had one of those hunts yesterday. Wanted to sit out by cornfield I thought they may come to. Couldnt get there to 5 till 5. Slowly slipped down a ditch/divider between 2 fields. Not sitting still for 5 minutes when I caught movement in the woods. 2 does that I figured would hit the field, decided to come down the ditch right at me. Only shot that I had was right thru the chest since she was facing me with me on the ground. It was wild shooting one that close on the ground, when i put the scope on her, her head took up the whole freakin scope. Drove one thru her chest from between 10-15 yds. From the point of putting my truck in park and walking up to dead doe took about 35 minutes

Not sure how to attack my woods right now. Seeing does like crazy in firearms and been shutout last 4 times out. Kinda tricky woods has a creek but no adjoining food sources like fields. I know this time of year food sources are the way to go. They are still traveling thru it hard, I am assuming at night though. I am down at the bottom of a ridge that is a swamp with a nasty thicket I know they sometimes bed in. Any suggestions or ideas?

damn it got worse today, couldnt hunt as long as I wanted to so I got out of my stand around 10:30 after seeing no deer. I decided I wanted to slip through this gnarly thicket to check for movement and I was looking for beds. As I was going along slowly a rabbit jumped to my left. Out of habit I threw my gun up at it....I know old habit when a bunny jumps. As I watch it go off for a second I take one more step. The biggest damn doe I have ever seen jumps from a bed not 25 feet from me in a blowdown. As I try to swing the gun around I get it caught in some briars. By the time I untangle she is about 50 yds out running away from me and I cant get the scope on her. Had the damn rabbit not got my attnetion I probably could have shot her in her freakin bed, I would have at least been looking that way and seen her.

does anyone have a clue on how WIDE your scent carries out. I understand that your scent can travel a long way, but how wide does it fan out. For instance if your body is 3 ft. wide does it roughly fan out that much or does it widen out like a funnel. Hope this doesnt come across as a stupid question, by watching the few deer that did catch my scent, they were directly in line with me and the wind when they did

the good-beautiful snow with nice cold temps to help get em moving, the bad-only seeing 3 does right at the end of the hunt, the ugly- having the biggest doe broadside at 30 yds only to have your cap pop and no hollow point come out. Had tape over the end of the barrel and the hole was clean, guess I was lucky enough to pick the one bad cap in a box of 50

Has anyone truly ever heard this in the woods....not made by a hunter? I guess my question is has anyone ever had luck with this. I like them as a grunt call, but have never seen the roar actually work. I have only tried it as a hail mary at the end of the night. Anyone ever have luck with it trying as loud as they say in their videos

have a family member going thru this now. i AM looking to help get some info for them. Is there a way you can file and keep your house if you can make payments on it?There issue is credit card debt, and they could pay for things if it was wiped out. Just trying to see what the best option would be for them, any advice or company to work with out of central indiana would help.

not trying to sell the stuff to you. I was just stating the experience that I had with it. You hear people say that they were busted all the time, just saying that the conditions were in the deers favor and 4 mature does were clueless.

Has anyone else used this... I went out for the first time this year tonight. Pulled the clothes out of the closet which hadnt been washed since last season . Got to the woods and sprayed this on. Seen seven tonight, six does and 1 small buck. 4 mature does were within 25 yards of me downwind and didnt have a clue I was there. Not a salesmen, just stating that the stuff seemed to do the job

have been staying out of the little 10 acres of woods that I can hunt. Walked along the edge of the cornfield last night and was very discouraged to only see one scrape and just a few tracks. Decided to drive by it tonight right at dark. Made out a couple of deer in the field, but douldnt tell what they were. All the sudden there were white flags flying everywhere. counted at least 11, needless to say that brought the encouragement meter way up

You think that is bad listen to mine. We have had 175 acres in parke county that our family has hunted on for about 9 years. Every year we call the owner in early spring and ask him if it is ok that we go the following year. Last season we were given the okay in april. We stay out and hunt gun only and camp out the first week of the season as a family. We went out a month before season and hung 13 ladders. The guys in our family decided to go down the tuesday before gun and scout. They went to the neighbors house to ask him if we shot a deer if we needed to come ask him for permission or if we could go get it. His response was..."I bought that property 2 months ago and I want all of your stands out of there by thursday or they are mine Worst day of my life was going out there for the last time and taking down all those damn stands in a freakin rainstorm. Bout the biggest kick in the nuts i have ever had. Best part was the guy who used to own it told us he forgot to call us. Only thing that would have been worse was if we had camp set up and the guy came down and told us to get the hell out on opening day
