Just got a call from our District Biologist, and he said he has received hundreds of reports of dead dear in Morgan County near water sources. Ponds, lakes, ravines and such. His opinion was that it is real bad because the drought started in June and had such a head start. The herd will rebound as it always does, but it will take a while.

Someone made sure the fence was nowhere to be seen.

Good friend of mine just called me from the White River Apache Reservation. He's on his way to the processor, after tagging a Bull Elk last night. 125 yards, one shot, hit a bit back due to this is is first elk hunt, and it was at last light, and they heard him hit the ground a couple of times. Went out before first light this morning and it was 8-900 yards away. Experienced guides field scored him gross at 409+, and a net of 394. It was 47 1/2 inches between antler tips, and the Apaches want to pedestal mount him, and use him for a while to show just what they have on the reservation. This guy is one happy camper, and what a bruiser to take on your first ever trip out West to hunt, and your first elk hunt. Be hard to ever top that.

Just a few minutes of Hair Plug Joe yakking about how much he was in love with his wife was enough to turn off the TV and hit the rack. Him playing the good guy image was too much to take. The whole DNC was nothing but an attempt to shift the blame. Joseph Goebbels was famous for his statement that if you tell a lie long enough, and as many times as possible, the people will eventually believe that it is the truth.

Suggestions for marking this blind? It has no sides.... So is it exempt? Maybe it will have to sit 4 foot 1 inches off the ground. Bitter? Yes, I am. I don't like laws that are not clear and can lead to error. This is one of those rules... Just got the word from up above. That blind is "not exempt".

Orange is a good idea, don't like the way it is written at all. It should be written so the "caps" satisfy the requirement. An "official" Yea or Nay should be forthcoming soon. Patience is a virtue. Just got the word, the "cap" for the top is legal. As long as it has 144 sq.in. on a side and can be seen.

Thanks tenring....have you used them before or know anyone that has? Not yet, but can report back after the hunt. They are big contributors to the RMEF, hence I expect they are top notch.

Well then, it's obvious that I'm doing something wrong. Just don't know what. I sign in and all my info comes up, punch add to cart, and then it shows nothing in the cart.

Friend and I are going for bull elk in GMU 24 in Northwest Colorado 2nd season, taking four days to sight see going out, getting there on a Thursday for the opening on Saturday morning . He is headed out to Arizona first to the White Mountain Apache Reservation the lucky dog. He will most likely have some tall tales to tell about that place!

They had better fix their site, it tells me there is nothing in my cart. Registered and put the four pins in my cart, went to checkout, and it tells me there is nothing in my cart. Guess they not in the mood to sell too many. Will just wait until the HO, and there won't be any shipping charges.
