Made a loop on private this morning but never heard a bird. Too much to-do around the house so headed home. May try public tomorrow morning.

I'm not feeling too confident but sitting in a blind overlooking a small clearing. Maybe one will work it's way over here in the rain. Good luck! If there's a way to screw up turkey hunting I find it. Never heard a gobble. Damn bird snuck in silent to my decoys and saw something fishy in the blind and got spooky. I hurried the shot and missed at not 20 yards. That hurts.

Struck a gobble on the point of a ridge. Circled around to get above him and called. Unfortunately he was heading down the point gobbling away and I couldn't catch up.

Had one gobbling on the roost, but he was very close to the property line. I fooled with him an hour but he drifted onto the other property. Making a quick loop and I need to be home.

Had a bird on roost but he wouldn't come in. Drifting away. Going to try to cut him off.

Took the son of the landowner I hunt on out. Textbook hunt. Heard him on the roost. Set up in a blind maybe 100 yards away in the woods with 2 decoys. After maybe 30 minutes of sporadic calling he gobbled very close. Ended up being 2 toms. He rolled one at 30 yards. Walking back to truck now. You spoiled him rotten! Good job youngster!!! His dad and I both reiterated to him it's not always that easy which he understood. Only about 17#, but 10" beard and 1" spurs. It felt double that walking out with the blind, gun, chair and other gear

Almost live from the stand. I walked into a late season go-to spot of mine on HNF with poor cell coverage. Settled into my saddle about 20 minutes before dawn. About a half hour after sunrise I saw a group of deer on adjacent ridge. Ended up being a buck chasing a doe. Following them was a second doe. Shot at her about 65 yards away from the left side of the tree, which was downhill. Immediately after the shot I saw a close limb swinging so I knew I clipped it. I couldn't see her reaction due to the smoke, but I saw a white flash uphill. Climbed down and found blood at the shot site. I looked downhill, the way she came from, but nothing. Eased uphill following a little blood until I found her maybe 40 yards away. Hard to see blood in the wet leaves. She must've been that white flash I saw on the right, uphill side of the tree. Got her quartered, cooled and packed out back to the truck now. Still have a KY buck tag to try for this week. Congratulations Thanks. I told a coworker I'd try to get them a doe, so glad it worked out.

Probable 3 year old on camera yesterday already shed one side. Body looked in good condition so idk why he shed so early.

Hunted with my oldest tonight. Saw a few does, a 4-point and a flock of turkeys. Hopefully bigger buck shows up next time.

Just had 4 point walk by at 20 yards. Not sure if he was the same one I saw earlier.

Seen 2 small bucks and a nice 10 so far. 10 may have been a shooter but I think he saw me turn my head about 60 yards out and he shied away from me.
