Heck, if I saw a piece of ground that was for lease and it was too high priced I would talk to the owner to find out when their contract ended with said company, then make them an offer and cut the middle man out fair and square. I am suprised land owners are using a company anyway..maybe it is a prestige thing....... Solo

Hunters do need to hunt to live! If we don't hunt anymore then we aren't hunters anymore, right? That is the point that some are trying to make - we are losing hunters because they have no place to hunt and can't afford to pay an large fee to hunt. Solo, I guess the landowner just doesn't want to mess with the thing and contracts it out. Camby, EVERYTHING in life is negotiable

Paul- Hunters hunt because they want to there is no longer a true need to hunt to feed your family, it is a desire. If pelosi and the rest of the gun grabbing demos get thier way the only thing you will have to hunt with is archery equipment anyway. If you do not think this can or could happen take a quick look at Mass. (teddy the drunk kennedy's) home state. They are talking about outlawing air rifles and bb guns. They will have to kill me frist!!!

You could make the contract as many years as you want, put in clauses that would allow a party ample time to cancel etc. The contract could be almost anything. I cannot digest the practice of giving someone else a cut when it seems pretty easy. I have not been those shoes, but I do "manage" a piece of property for a landowner. Takes very little time and effort....oh and I do it for free... Solohunter

Paul3 if the grun grabbing depocraps do pass an anti gun ligislation that says to turn in your fire arm it will be a federal marshall that will come to your door if you do not comply, not the sherriffs deputy or local officers that you know. It will be federal and thier killing you or jailing you will not bother them since they do not know you or fish or hunt or go to a lodge with you if you are a member of a fraternal group. But hey this is just my opinion and does not mean anything.

That goes both ways! Are guns are the only thing keeping the Gov. from doing whatever it wants. There the only thing that makes your vote count for enything. If I didn,t fight for the right to keep and bear arms when needed all the people who died and are dieing now for eveyones rights and freedoms U.S. would have died for nothing. But hey this is just my opinion and I tkink it means alot!!
