After I rattled in a couple bucks I rattled again a half hour later and a 10 point came in at 25 yards. Not a giant but took him anyway, my hip is sore from using my climber so I ended my season.  Congrats Bill, Nice deer and way to get it done. I may have asked before, but what part a Perry do you hunt. I also hunt Perry around the Leopold, Mt. Pleasant area. |

Got down at lunch, both for chow and to go out the safety rope and gear line on the new stand. Had some GREAT food at the truck stop in Clymers of all spots!! Brisket wrap (with Mac n cheese inside) and homemade fried mushrooms. Excellent. Got back in the stand about 2, realized I forgot my phone.... ended up not mattering a lot. Zero action.... but always great to be in a stand. Got back to the truck right as it started to rain. Think it is gonna rain here tomorrow.... have to consider if I'm going out.

Since it may or may not be raining in the morning, I am choosing to not even set my alarm and sleep in. I'll be back after it tomorrow afternoon.

Saw 2 deer just after sunset quick stepping it thru the thick stuff. Don't know if it was a doe with a buck in tow or two does,too far and too dark to see well enough to tell.
Suposto get rain all day tomarrow here so I will hit it Friday for the last haraw.

My son text me after school that he was heading to the stand. Sent a short video of him at the stand, five minutes later a short video of a small buck under him in the pouring rain. Then 20 minutes later another video of him putting his clothes in the dryer lol. Got a little too wet too fast.

Finally set up on the HNF in a bedding area. A little later than I should be, but plan to hunt all day.

Rattled in what looked like a pretty nice 10 point but he slipped onto a private block and no amount of grunting brought him back.

Big change of temp from last few days 55 now and 55 high tomorrow with high 60 over the weekend in the SE part of the state

Just got settled in..waited for the rain to pass and helped my wife get my daughter off to school. Spotted a buck with a doe on the opposite ridge line as I approached my stand. As far as I know they’re still over there. Plan to sit till dark.
