I agree with that To an extent. But had I made a better shot on the deer November second I would have killed my 2 biggest deer in 3 sits on that stand

Headed out to the woods here really soon. I really hate these easterly winds as I have no real good set up for them.

I’m all set. Had to move over to the lease. Most of my action has been at my place. Went into the woods a good bit. Hopefully works out with the awful east winds we’ve been plagued with recently. Good luck to all.

Have been in my stand for half hour so far. 5 minutes ago a lone doe slowly walked by.

Good start to the morning. Slipped in early. I was able to see some bedded does on the walk in (green headlamp). I saw other eye balls further back. About 15 minutes after getting set up, I heard slow steps coming down the same trail I walked in on. It was a nice buck just 7 yards from my tree, down wind side. Although I couldn't see how nice he was, I could still see his body size and antlers were good enough for me. Especially with a bow. He simply strolled through, in no hurry it seemed. I hope he went passed my camera.
Good luck everyone! Hunt safe and God bless!

Pretty eventful morning so far. Slipped into the blind on the east side of that big thicket weve been hunting. Shooting time was 651. 653 i see a buck cruising. About 15 mins later we about got ran over by a 125" 8 point chasing a doe.

Absolute monster buck killed Monday evening in northern Decatur County. A buck we dream about. I will post pics later because service is bad here. Don’t know the details yet…

Got up the tree just after shooting light. About 10 min later a couple of does slipped through the Crp in front of me about 70 yds. If a mature doe gets close I may be tempted to get so e meat in the freezer before gun starts.

I have a few hours to hunt this morning so I'm just in the woods at my house. I haven't seen anything but I'm testing out my new heated vest. I'm only using it on low and I'm toasty.

Estimated 2.5 year old 8 point walked through in range, hit a scrape, then continued on.

I forced myself to get up early for a weekday, 8am. HA! Got to get my schedule in tune for the upcoming "huntcation". I filed my papers for "hunters divorce", so getting to be that time. 😆
Glad to hear the action is really picking up. Keep at it men! Good luck.
