Congratulations on a great buck, titanium700!
And that Decatur County buck is a beast too.

Good deal T700 and all the others over the last few days. Hope you all have left some. Haven't been getting to much on either camera last week. Hope that changes. I'm packing my stuff and getting stuff ready. Flight leaves in the morning, should be touching down about 1240, pick up the truck and trailer from Anderson and get on the road south. Hoping to be at cabin by dark. Good luck to all of you out getting it done still. See you all soon...SF Woods

I pulled the plug early to mow the yard before this rain arrives. Awful late in the year to be mowing. Hopefully this was last time.

Well fortunately for my family we have 2 more bucks that we’ve seen over the summer that is bigger than this guy I just got. We haven’t seen anything the last few weeks so this guy was definitely on the radar for a killing. One of the other 2 is bigger by a great margin and the other about same sized. Hope they can get them

Those are some incredibly big bucks posted here this morning! Have only ever seen 2 of that caliber in the woods. There's no words that can describe what your mind and body goes through when something like those deer show up in front of you - especially if you didn't know they were around.
I'm going to try and go out tomorrow morning unless it's more than moderate rain. Those fresh rubs 70 yards from our best stand look like they were made by a pretty decent sized buck - not sure if there are any scrapes near them or down in the dip next to the ravine (unfortunately we can't see down into that from the stand). Fingers crossed at least 1 was made by big boy, who 2 of us have seen about 4 times over the last 2 years hanging around the property line about 30-60 yards north of where the leftmost rub is. He isn't a huge deer antler wise but has good antler width and a massive body - thinking the half rack I saw back in October is either him with one side missing or one of his relatives. Doesn't help that we never use trail cams so there's no way of knowing what's using the property and where/what time/wind until we actually hunt.

Just got set for the evening. Tried another option more in the game of where I’d been seeing them but found a big limb had smashed the whole upper section. 🤬 and grateful I wasn’t there at the time. Is what it is. Hopefully catch one cruising.

This morning got into my stand at 6:15, shooting time was 6:53 so I had plenty of time. Was settled in and around 6:48 I hear footsteps behind me to my left somewhat so I turned around and in the faint light could make out a deer, well said deer saw me too. lol Got my binos on it and it’s a doe, fortunately it didn’t spook and turned and slowly walked and fed away. Good glad it didn’t blow. A little later I hear crashing and about 70 yds behind me is 3 does running, why were they running? Hopefully a buck is chasing but nope, nothing. 20 minutes later over my right shoulder here come two does, kind of trotting and both had their mouths open so I knew they had been chased by something. They ended up walking right into my scent stream about 40 yds out and started blowing but fortunately not terrible (I’d say they blew 2 3 times maybe) Then they continued trotting away up my hill to my big field. By now the hot coffee I had been sipping started to tell me it wanted out so I stood up to let it go and as I was finishing I caught movement to my left. A deer! A big bodied deer!! It’s 70 yds away walking parallel to me trying to find those does that ran by me, I thought well he’s looking for a doe so here I am I’m gonna be a doe today. By now I already had my binos on him and determined he was a shooter. So hit my can call and nothing…he’s continuing walking parallel till now he’s walking away, he’s 80 yds. Hot my buck grunt call….nothing, he’s 90 yds walking away. I’ve got rattling racks….here we go. I crashed them together not too rough or loud and even too long and as I did it I said to myself, that wasn’t long or loud enough but by then I caught movement. Here he come….running!!! Right up the hill towards me. He was looking for a fight. I quickly grabbed the crossbow and got it into position his direction. He gets to within 32 yds and walk directly broadside. My crosshairs are already on him when I went Meeeaaaahhhh. He stopped broadside and looked my direction…..too late bolt was already on its way. I’m see it bury into his chest and he takes off running to which I was almost 100% I heard him crash. Waited about 30 minutes and got down, immediately found blood and woohoo! Air bubbles in this blood. Was about a 60 yd track to where I found him laying under a big tree. Pics coming.

After I rattled in a couple bucks I rattled again a half hour later and a 10 point came in at 25 yards. Not a giant but took him anyway, my hip is sore from using my climber so I ended my season.

I just shot this male from my front porch. He was skulking around my backyard in the rain and my wife saw him. She yelled at me and I made a dash to my gun safe, grabbed my suppressed. 22LR, and had to scrounge up some ammo. I went out onto the porch and there it stood broadside at the end of the porch. I took an offhand shot at 10 yards and it took off yelping and collapsed right in the road 50 yards away.
