2 bucks and a small doe. Very slow and the mornings have been very lackluster this week so far. Still lots of night pics.

My buddy sjot this deer. The bump is the exit. It was broadside 44 yards. The deer was nearly level to him, maybe slightly higher on the hill side. 3 blade fixed never shot broached so that didn't fail. The pic is about 150 yards from the shot site. He followed blood for 750 yards then lost it. Tried calling some dog guys but they are all booked up. He shot it at 930 am and we were back at 1pm. Did some big grids in weed field, followed the creek. Nothing. Only thing we can figure is he missed the near side lung. Blood had bubbles but if 1 lung maybe he survived The Montana portion of the story in the link sounds similar. Making Sense of Mystery HitsThere's a chance he just hit the rear of the lungs so he didn't get enough "meat" to kill him.

Tomorrow if it clears and gets into the 30's in the morning should be rocking with deer action. Neither camera had action this morning.

That deer is dead. If broadside something in gods power is keeping it alive. Only thing we can figure was the arrow entered just above the near lung. It was lung blood though. It went up big hill too. Crazy It's amazing how tough mature bucks can be. I center punched both lungs on my buck 2 years ago. It still ran at least 200 yards before going down. Some of that distance was uphill.

He has it on camera twice this week, one photo clearly shows the arrow stuck in his shoulder.
