This place that I’m hunting is public HNF to be exact now we all know HNF is huge so ain’t nobody gonna be able to guess my exact location. With that said this place used to get hit hard with hunters and if you saw a deer you were lucky. I quit coming here about 10 yrs ago because I had private land to hunt, at the time much better. Over the years this place pretty much petered out hunter wise. Now it is an overgrown jungle with briars all down the main trail through the woods, even if someone else wanted to come here they would have to know the area like me. I know a way around all the thick briars and can get all the way in to the back of the property, mind you it’s a long ways and most won’t do that anyways even if there were no briars and trees down. Soooo the deer population back here has definitely come up and I don’t see any evidence of other hunters in the area. I think I got the place to myself with evidently tons of deer. Gonna keep it my secret with personal friends and family. That's awesome. I had a spot like that in a state forest 15 years ago but the most I ever saw was 13 in one morning. It was a natural pinch point but the neighboring property changed the way they used the land and took away the pinch point. I killed a deer out of one specific tree 4 years in a row.

Sounds like a heck of a honey hole and being HNF to boot. I think social media and apps like onx and huntstand have ruined areas around me. I own 33 acres and have strict access to 52 other private acres. I would never fathom to see that many deer even on this private just me access land.

Deer seem to be moving tonight. I'm sitting on the couch and keep getting deer pics on the only camera I have out. A pair of does earlier and then a 3.5 year old 9-pointer just passed.

Camera life is Great IMO Great motivation…. Can't beat a cell cam. I only own one, but I gave less than $100 for it and run it for three months a year at $5/mo.

Just got home. Total deer amount today was 39 No shots fired though I could’ve taken a stupid facing me shot on a doe tonight if I wanted. She was at 23 yds eating acorns facing me till shooting light left. Not a high value shot for me so I pass. What a great day. Can’t wait to do it again sometime soon.

How many of the 39 could have been the same deer multi-sightings?

Blessing and a curse, next week I'll be in Florida on fall break with the family. If we get a cold front, or a big buck daylights, I'll know what I'm missing, not just assume and find out when I get home.

Honestly don’t know So amongst that I think one spike for sure was a double sighting but I didn’t count that as an extra (40) so that’s why 39 As far as the does or younguns? No idea. They weren’t wearing name tags..

Didn’t hunt but went to Perry county and spent the night. Off the front porch this morning, about 40 yards in the front yard 3 does with a young spike buck with his head hung low trying without much luck to check the does.

Your right wild Deer don't have name tags…
