We blanked last night. Ive got Dad duties today. Worked all but 3 days in Oct and they were 12 hour days. My wife had to take my oldest over to 4H training for the day. She's on the Ohio National 4H team for Hunting and Wildlife skills. So I've got the youngest 2 with me. The boy is gonna a prep all his trapping stuff and I'm gonna do some work around here. If we get done we might slip out for an evening hunt at his park.

Absolutely insane so far. 7 does and three bucks so far. One shooter chasing hard. No shot. Does are just feeding underneath me as I type. What a morning!

I have developed a heck of a coughing cold. Gonna decide in the morning to hunt or not. If I do I’ll have a pocket full of cough drops with me. 4:45 this morning it was a no go for me. Start delayed until next week. No big deal.. I’m more enthused about deer hunting when my grandson can join me for firearm season. |

I’m in a tree, waaaay back in and down a hillside which has benches.
On those benches are trails and scrapes. Lots of scrapes.
Located between two benches right now.
One is 18 yds and the other 29
Hopefully they use em today.

Late night caused late morning. Not too bad. Knew where I wanted to go until I got there. Owner had a few campers in his lot and side by sides. Knew they were riding his trails so off to a new stand. Been quiet and lonely in this stand. But looks hopeful. Bedding between 2 isolated corn fields that are still standing. But as luck always has it this guy hit my camera right at shooting time...I usually only hunt my house during the week as neighbors are always busy  |

Had a young decent 8 come through an hour ago. Hope it makes it over to my dad who is out for the first sit of the year.

Went dead here. Not far from the house. Pretty sure I stepped in a dog pile on the way out. Big thank you to my golden retriever. Had a deer stomp on the trail I came in on. Not a fan of dog crap I guess 🤦🏻♂️
