Out for my second time this season. Softball tournament all weekend, so this is my only chance for a few days. Good luck and shoot straight!

I hate briars….. Straight from hell they are. I always think briars can see you coming and come alive as they purposely reach out and grab your arms, neck, ears or whatever they can snag. I do not know how many times they ripped my hat off in a second. I hate briars with a passion.

Me too I destroy them as much as possible. Brush hogging them over gives me satisfaction.

Cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field.

I hate briars….. Straight from hell they are. Damn straight! Lol. I stuck a thorn straight into the end of my thumb once at a state park hunt. I didn't know the extent, but it bothered me a bunch. I could hardly stand it, but struggled thru butchering a pile of deer. My thumb was actually sheer white and going numb. I kept squeezing it, and eventually said I was gonna squeeze until I broke it, I didnt care. Eventually it came shooting out like an arrow, lol. It was over an inch and a half long, wife and I about croaked when we seen it. She said she couldn't believe I lived with it in there. Lol. I said when I say something hurts now, don't doubt me!

Well my phone went dumb for a moment. As I was saying before my phone interrupted me, I'm a darn good operator. Might be able to help you out depending on the location Farmersburg (southwest Ind) I know where that is. I use to haul bricks out of the brick yard there to Lee Brick in Owensboro Ky. Let me see what I can do but I make no promises

Well. Almost shot one of my target bucks tonight. Had him at 15 yds but was facing me straight on. He was with a smaller buck which was right under me. Had bow in hand and waiting for him to turn broadside but when he did he managed to walk through the thickest brush pile I had within 30 yds. Walked out of my life…..for tonight. It was the long eyeguards buck I’ve been watching. . For some reason my post image site isn’t loading my pics

Tough decision today. Was going to visit my neighbors farm this morning. It is big cattle farm with rolling pastures. Lots of opportunity and just enjoyable.
But 100 yards behind my house the bucks have been in front of my camera last 3 day. It was a couple scrubs until this morning and 1 for sure shooter and 2 that would tempt me c something hard...
I hate hunting behind the house. Neighbors always making lots of noise, dogs, leaf blowers, utv, etc....but there are nice deer too.
Weekdays are the only time I will hunt back there so maybe give it a shot.
What a tough life when that is my biggest decision...good luck everyone

I made a frosty paddle into some public this morning. I almost hit a couple does while driving about a mile from where I’m sitting. Hopefully the deer didn’t get all their movement in before sun up. With the full moon an evening sit tonight May have been better but I don’t like the idea of trying to get a deer out of this place in the dark. All quiet so far

Just curious what your guys’ guess is on age of this deer…? 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 yr old dear from that perspective. Looks great, tough to pass up. It all depends on your area and what other bucks you may have holding in the area. How many guys can let a deer walk in their area with even 50% confidence it will be back next year??
