I'm out for the 1st time. Not to bad with the knee. In my backyard woods stand. Very quiet so far. My home security camera had a lot of night time deer action. All does.

Saw a small buck chasing a doe in the field at full tilt first thing. Then had a deer working through the thicket at 60. Just passed a doe that was directly under me. She seemed fairly young. Nice morning so far.

Hopefully those of you who are out in the woods have luck this morning! The deer I think were moving hard much of the day yesterday. I won't be hunting the rest of this week - poultry show this weekend plus have to butcher yesterday's doe.

I didn't see any deer hunting. I got out of stand at 9:05. I walk in the basement door and then upstairs to the kitchen that faces the front oak trees. I look out and 5 does are walking down the private drive to the oaks. They came from the other patch of oaks on the side yard past the barn. Then across the road 4 more does show up. I had 9 does in the front yard searching for acorns. No bucks. knees x-rays look perfect. Healing well and now I'm off all the meds.

I went out last evening for the first sit of the year. Seen 1 buck. A small 6 pointer. Im getting new bucks on camera almost every night though. Ive got 3 solid shooters already. Two 10s and a nice 8. The 8 pointer was the only one in daylight though so far. Looking to be a good year in my area hopefully.

I drove past the food plot this evening. 1 or 2 small bucks and 13-14 does/yearlings in it. After my crappy day today I really feel like whacking something. I may put up a pop-up and go sit on Saturday, or run over to the customer that has the property in the deer reduction area and see how things look there since I will be in the area tomorrow.

We seen two bucks out at 2pm yesterday, then I darn near hit two more at midnight. Seen one decent buck hit on the highway. NE LaPorte county. Lots of crops coming out, and definately an uptick in movement.

Coming home from supper yesterday evening and saw 4 small bucks out in the same field corner. Two were facing each other and looked like they were gonna start sparring.
Time is getting ripe and I'm not at all ready yet for archery.

Cameras blew up this morning. Had a pretty nice buck following a doe around 5:45 cst. Things are heating up.

They started cutting corn around a couple of my stands down there, camera's were going off nonstop. Same up here in Minnesota but nothing worth going after yet...except the flippen wolves!!!

I was SUPPOSED to go hunting this morning but my public spot is over an hour away with a hour walk and I was supposed to get up at 4 am…..I did but the job I was on Monday thru Wednesday flat wore me out.
I shut the alarm off and went back to sleep.
I sure hope I didn’t miss anything though my cameras blew up last night with all sorts of bucks…

I've noticed trial cameras are getting more active. Both day and night, but all does and baby bucks.

I'm going to go put out a camera today near the food plot just to see what's out there. AND put up a ground blind. Maybe get home early enough to shoot the x-bow.

I decided to check out a new spot tonight, and got into a thick tangled mess of briars, as seems to happen pretty often. I did find a decent amount of sign, but by that time I felt like I had already created too much disturbance and backed out.
I came into a different spot and made a snap decision to set up over a scrape in a stand of oaks.
