Bnl has had a rough season as predicted. Garrett has played well but losing takes a lot of enjoyment out of the game. They won 1 game. Last few will be equally hard.

I hear you, losing does take a toll, try to find the good plays within the game. Hopefully they can pull one or two more out before seasons end. The journey is mor important than the destination. Good luck to you and your son.

I honestly don't know and am too lazy to do the research. Do any of IU's previous opponents have a good record? Not trying to be negative, but the real test is when they start playing real football schools. The lead sports guy at FOX 41 in Louisville is an IU grad and always does a good job of reporting on IU. He has already said that Florida and Auburn are rumored to be after Cignetti. Here's the question: Is it a better move to leave IU for a big football school where your tenure will be short if you aren't extremely successful? Or is the wise decision to stay at IU where you can go .500 and have the job until you retire? Mark Stoops at Kentucky has made the latter almost every year. IU and UK are the same when it comes to football. No one gives a hoot once basketball season starts.

IU and UK are the same when it comes to football. No one gives a hoot once basketball season starts. He has been moving up the ranks of football. I doubt IU is his pinnacle, but who knows. I don't think they have played any great competition. Northwestern and UCLA were the toughest that I know of. They played mainly cupcake non-conference teams. But to be fair, they have been beat by those caliber teams in the past and just ask ND about a cupcake team that beat them at home.

Undoubtedly there will be schools that come after him. I just hope IU can make the case and keep his deal lucrative enough that he stays. The article Woody pasted about his incentives seems to show they (IU) will be committed to doing all they can to keep him. You guys are right about the toughest part of the schedule is ahead but will agree in the past the lesser teams have beaten us. IMO scoring points has not been much of a problem in the past but this year the defense is playing with an edge and who knows, I think they have a legitimate shot of being 9-0 when they play Michigan. Regardless.....to date it sure has been fun to watch those guys.

IU is already 3-0 in the B1G with wins over Maryland, Northwestern and UCLA....none of those are GREAT wins, but they are all solid and by pretty comfy margins. Being the first team in all of FBS to become bowl eligible this year is a very good place to start. I won't venture to guess what is in any coaches mind....but I would think building a program in one of the top 2 conferences would be a good spot to be in.....

Notre Dame wins big against Stanford 49-7 and actually goes down one spot. That is odd, however, ND was idle last week and went up so maybe that evens out a little bit. If the Irish keep winning maybe they'll have enough steam to stay in the playoff even though they don't have a conference championship game to play. It will be difficult because ND's opponents going forward are either unranked or ranked below them. This will be very interesting if ND wins out.

They play Navy on 26th who is undefeated. True but I don't think Navy's #25 ranking is going to help ND's case much. What I'm trying to say is IF ND were to win out I don't think they have a strong enough schedule to climb in the rankings. Beating the heck out of Stanford didn't help any but maybe I'm being pessimistic.

Chilly night at the field here at Northview in Brazil, but the moon coming up over the field is pretty neat. Phone won’t focus on the moon due to bright lights.
