WOW! 😳 No shots here at all.. Friend down the road a mile hasn’t seen or heard anything either Yeah…. Hard to believe that many shots are Turkey Hunter’s. I Heard one shot early…. |

Taking a break from the woods for now. The toms did exactly what we thought they would. Just a little further into the field than we had hoped. They were gobbling like crazy just a little before 6. A couple hens and a lone tom snuck in behind us but, way too thick to shoot through. Just a few moments later, two toms exited the woods into the field and came our way. They must have seen something they didn't like and started to veer further into the field. My buddy and I both agreed they were in range and decided to shoot. Mine dropped but his ran off. He tried a follow up shot but, no luck. We've been searching for another bird ever since.  |

You don't by chance have a saddle mount with a scope on do you? Negative. Going to try and take some shots shortly. Maybe the slide wasn’t all the way forward but I sure was trying like heck to make it happen. Same thing happened to my son on Sunday. He was bummed about it. |

Had 2 gobbling early and then quiet, neighbor shot one of them I am guessing. Quiet until 10 or so and had a jake come in to check things out and about 30 minutes another or possibly the same one came in from another way. They got a pass today. Taking a little break and then back out.

I don't know what happened but I just missed a nice one. No more than 35 yards. This scope has to be off. My grandson has been using it. My grandson missed one two years ago but it was 50 yards. My fault for not taking it to the range this year. Things got in the way, but that is no excuse
This bird had a nice bushy beard and a lot of red and some blond looking coloring on him. A beautiful bird.
This is the first bird I've missed ...ever. That hurts.
