He got to about 100 yards, made a left turn to the edge of the woods across from me and went by me at about 75 yards. Looked small and had a skinny beard.
Probably a two year old.

LOL... once he got by me he made a right and crossed the ditch at the farmers crossing cut. That would have out him 15 yards from where I had the blind previously. I outfoxed myself with the move. 🤣

I possibly just got a field to hunt in. Some friends have a blind in there and already took a turkey there. Down near the Wabash river about 10-15 minutes from me. Could be a good spot. We've seen nice turkeys there before, so after tomorrow afternoon we shall see. I have something Saturday afternoon but may be able to get a few hours in then. Friday I have my cousin's graduation ceremony at Purdue, but could probably get in some morning and evening hunting, then Saturday I have an event that I am in charge of that afternoon, but might get time in the blind that morning/evening. Sunday will be an evening hunt unless I get permission to be out during norm church hours. Really want another tail fan on the wall......
Finally.....set up in the same spot as several other hunts. Nothing but a lone gobble across the road early on, pretty foggy in Jackson Co this AM. A little after 7 not 100 yards one gobbled coming in behind me. The trash truck and school bus going by caused him to fire off about 5-6 gobbles in a row. Could tell he was close but could not see him as he was on the other side of a little rise in the woods. Finally I caught movement, I got ready and.....a dang coyote. He looked around and then jogged back into the woods behind me as well and I thought well that does it for this bird and my lower lip began to fill with dirt and leaves. A few minutes later I heard loud putting and it got closer and closer so I was thinking about maybe a left handed shot. Caught a glimpse of the turkey, it stopped and for some reason walked into the field and it was over at about 15 yards. So happy to harvest a bird in the honor of my neighbor and hunting buddy Allen "Big Al" Hawn. We had many, many memorable turkey and deer hunts together. RIP my friend!

I was wrong.. he came back and stayed in the decoys for 15 minutes. He is a young bird…, you can tell by his fan he is barely out of the Jake stage. I could not make out any spurs on him…
I passed him
He went out aways and puffed up again. Then two longbeards and a Jake (I think) across the cut and chased him all over the opposite side of the field. They all finally went into the woods. I don't know why they chased him and not pick on the stuffer?
Yep, I would have shot one of the two Longbeard bullies!

Never fails they come by whenever I’m not there. I’ve sat near here many times during different hours of the day and have never seen them. Was close one day, but like has been all season they wouldn’t come to any calling.

His tail feathers are slightly longer in the middle showing he is a young 2 year old bird. Skinny beard and no spurs got him a pass. The video was twice as long and showed him walking away. I guess Imgur only allows one minute videos
