Got two gobbling but not much. One about 150 yards away on a ridge and another one a 100 yards behind him.

Got a Strutter in the field behind me. He has a couple hens with him. I’m on a ditch crossing between the fields so hopefully they will come this way.

Just had a gobbler walk the edge of the field I’m on 150 yards straight across from me. I called ..he stopped,,gobbled once and then kept on walking. He turned into the lane I walk in on and headed north.
At least I’m seeing some.

Hammering this morning. Had one roosted about 150 yards. Gobbled at least 100 times. Sounded like hens took him the opposite direction.

A hen walked that same side that the gobbler did . Then shortly a longbeard and a Jake followed the same way. They ignored my calls. They went towards the another ditch crossing

A lone Jake was across the field picking around over by where an old barn was. Then all of a sudden it took off running and then went airborne. The black and white dog I had gotten on my trail camera was after it. 😡

We started seeing them about 2 weeks before turkey started. It is getting old!!!

The owners live at the north end of Scales Road up by the interstate. Yeah, they let them run except during deer season when they put them up.

I’ve got about another half hour in me.. I haven’t seen, nor heard, a turkey since the dog ran off the Jake. That was 4 hours ago.
8 hours is enough…

Is anyone still using strutter decoys right now? Thinking about using one in the morning. This morning he flew down but went the other way with hens. Think a strutter over a hen may do the trick?
