Whatcha think? First time trying to make a squirrel tail jig. Going to make the next one just longer than the hook, about where the black starts on this one. Will also make a couple out of fox squirrel tail.

What the heck? The old saying plays out... "While the cats away, the mice will play!" Lol. While dad is at work, wife and son have fun. Steelhead from Trail Creek tonight.

Most of my life I'd have been in a tree every evening this time of year. Funny how the importance of things shift when you get a second chance in life. Me and my wife fished until we couldn't see our bobbers tonight. The catfish weren't hungry. We caught enough bluegill to keep us entertained. This might be our last fishing adventure for the year.

On the way home tonight I drove past the pond we always fish. I had to stop and get a sunset picture of it. I wish the electric lines weren't in it.

The sunrises/sunsets lately have been amazing with all the red in them. I wonder why?

They must be spraying with the new hypersonic invisible airplanes then. Not even a contrail visible, and they must not be doing that here because I sure as heck am NOT getting the rain.

Maybe sooner, since Bill Gates has been arrested. He's been financing it.

Tried out my homemade squirrel tail jigs. Crappie and bluegills liked it. Must have got there late, caught these and then nothing. Switched to my white and chartreuse jig that I used last week and still didn't catch anything else. Fun catching them with my homemade jig though!
