Our campground has a small lake. We listened to bad karaoke and only caught 3 fish. Still a great evening sitting on the water and talking.

First kayak fishing float of the year for me this morning. Caught 7 smallest biggest being 10 inches. Caught a couple of goggle eye and sunfish as well. Good morning of fishing. Threw them all back.

Day one, nothing for us, seen only one boated. Day two, one for us, seen a few more boated. Sunday night, lots of fish on the sonar and seeing some jump. Temp was 82 Sat, 54 right now. Hoping Monday gets better.

Hoping this cooler weather starts decreasing temps of the ponds. Get back to some fishing soon.

Talked Abbie into a trip to Glendale. She caught the cat and majority of the bluegills. She needs to start baiting her own hook so I can keep up with her. 🤣 Ended up with a dozen nice bluegills, 3 smaller ones that were hooked deep, and caught two more big shiners again. Eta: Added pic of the bagged shiners. She caught the biggest one so far 9 1/2"!

Nobody was jigging up anything. So we switched over and trolled. We used dipsey divers and ran the bottom with j-plug and spoons and got those fish.
We were definately 2 weeks late from what we heard and saw online.

Nice facility to clean your own fish or tip one of the guys there. Really nice time. Featherdusters info was all good stuff. We didnt get to eat at Old Hamlins or House of Flavors due to the wait times. The town was packed with fisherman and tourists, I guess. The amount of boats was insane.

Finally, new batteries, downriggers repaired, nice weather.
So far 2 stud crappie and a 5 pound cat on the riggers. Wipers were surface feeding in 1 bay for an hour. Caught 6 off spook and pop-r. Big 1 was probably 4 or 5 pounds. Troll another hour then get home and prep for trip to Jeffersonville for football.
Dang Fridays are awesome!

Fried the fish from yesterday. Yum. Precoated with corn starch then coated with jr madges with some cajun spice dashed in. Very good. Even the crappie was good and I usually don't care for the mushy crappie. The starch gives the fish a good crunch

Got my first decent perch! Was the only one I caught, but more meat than the bluegills that size (thicker).

Had two big bags of crappie and catfish and man that stuff was good. Just some Andy’s Cajun batter and in the fryer they went. Add in some coleslaw, fries, and hush puppies and we were set for a great meal. One I only eat about twice a year, but man I enjoy it when we do.

Was gonna skurry hunt, but the calming winds and big flip on lake temp is calling us to the big lake. Saw some kings caught in Mich City harbor today. But, water temp in St Joe has dropped 11deg so far, so we are gonna do some trolling in the mouth of the St Joe River and outside the pier heads in the morning. Hoping I can put Luke on another king, coho, or steelhead.

Our recipe was skin down, itialian seasonin, pat of butter, and heavy coat of parmajan cheese. Cook until the cheese browned. That was like 25 yrs ago, so maybe I missed a step or two. Good luck. Hope he ties into a 20# king
