Powered knife ONLY for me from here on out! I tried a few perch with a standard knife, and wondered what happened. Lol.

I’ve never turned back once I went to a powered filet knife. Got a great deal on a Mr twister one years ago and it’s went through a bunch of fish. Bought a new set of blades for it a couple years back. When it dies I’ll fork out the money for a bubba brand one.

I like electric knife for big batches of gills and crappie. Still keep a sharp fillet knife and prefer that if less than 10 fish or for cats and eyes.
I bet an electric knife on perch is almost not fair. I used to fillet them dudes in my sleep. My e-knife would fly

Explored the southeast end of Glendale yesterday. Topo map looked promising, but there were lots of weeds and lilly pads. Threw back a bunch of small ones and kept 12 that were 8-9' long. May try there next spring before the weeds get a good start. Best pattern yesterday ended up being casting a cricket next to standing tree trunk "stumps" in 8' of water.

Is Luke going to be playing football this year? Good eating there. Yeah. Practice started last week Wed, and school Thursday. Off to the races already. But, one coach quit the week prior, so everything is screwed up. Equipment and uniforms have still not been fitted or ordered. The coach works a day job, so he can't get off in time for normal hours. The kids have to come home from school, then go back for practice, and no bussing. So, for folks that work, it would really be a mess. We only live a mile from school, and my wife doesn't work outside the home, so no issue for us luckily...

I can use an electric knife and have quite a bit in the past, but prefer to fillet fish these days with a standard knife where I can also get the meat on outside of the ribs.
