Since you removed a few fish finders, you need to upgrade to one of the new live scopes. That should help improve the fish finding ability of the boat. Them live scopes are a game changer from what I hear most people not using refer to them as “cheaters” Says the guys loading cages week before their tournament or stuffing the fish they catch....the electronics help but far from cheating. I can't justify the $ for them and I don't really fish they way those are most productive but I think it would be awesome to try out

I pulled our boat out this afternoon to get ready and go out on Monroe in the morning. Of course as soon as I did we got about a 15 minute downpour. I’m sure it’s gonna get packed, so we plan to be on early and leave early. Even taking a little grill with us to cook up some hot dogs while we are out there. How'd you guys fair? I ended up not going. Slept in a bit and then had other chores that seemed good to do with the mild weather.

Think we have 7 in the cooler so far. Wife just pulled in a 13.5” crappie. Biggest one so far. Been pretty slow.

This is a First we caught a clam! I caught one (and only one) in Lake Geneva when I was a young kid when fishing with my grandfather. He passed away when I was 8 or 9.

Meh...my graphs tell me where they are too. Some people like to complain about anything. About like bow vs gun vs longbow vs crossbow vs 3 months of deer season vs very limited deer season...someone always feels cheated. Don't shine your flashlight onto my land either! Lol....never ends I have used electricity and nets to catch fish. That is more like cheating.

Started off real slow, but we hit some spots where there were some fish. We stayed on a little too long. The boat ramp was an absolute mad house when we left. People with trailers just driving in circles waiting for others to leave as there were no more spots left. Water was getting real choppy too from all the traffic. This is the take home for the day.

We got our perch fix satisfied. Couple 12", lots of 9-10" fish. Got our 2 man limit of 30 total. Had some choppy water, and 4-5ft rollers. We stayed with a group of boats, and looked like everyone limited out and split. Great times.

Abbie and I had a fun time on Glendale. Only two had eggs, and they were the two warmouth that swallowed the hook. Tight-lined the whole time with crickets and red worms in 6-8' of water. As usual, she caught a big redear. Forgot to add that she hooked something in about 6-7' of water that headed right under the boat for deeper water and her 4# line on her ultralight just popped. No clue what it could have been. Maybe big catfish or snapping turtle. As fast as it was moving, I'm betting on catfish.

I have used electricity and nets to catch fish. That is more like cheating. If you have clear conductive water, electricity is a blast!!!

Went back today out of Michigan City. Weather and waves so much better. Wife went with us since calm seas. The fishing did not disappoint! It was on fire, we kept our limit of 45, and threw back a bunch getting there. Caught a couple goliaths, and a bunch of 10-11", and thick. We all had the time of our lives. Pics later. Heading to a b-day party now, so we iced them and will be back later to clean them.

Abbie went to youth group at church tonight, so I headed back to the park lake where we caught the catfish last week. My Mom tagged along again. Shoreline was packed! Went straight to the treetop and after about 20 minutes, I finally caught a 4#er channel cat and a little bass. I handed the rod over to Mom to reel in the cat while I grabbed the net. She had quite a battle going with that light bluegill rod! Fished there for about an hour without getting anything else. We moved to the other end of the lake and she caught another bass that wasn't big enough to keep while I caught a big painted turtle or slider. Was too dark at that point to tell what it was exactly. Fished till 10 and called it a night.
Fun time even though we didn't catch much.
