None around me yet and it wouldn't bother me a bit if it stayed that way...

I have a few the last couple days. Thinking the masses will be starting tomorrow and this week. Get the mask back on. You don't want to swallow a raw one. LOL

So you mean to tell me that you have eaten them? I'm sorry, I'm not into the crunchy protein 6/8 legged variety. Oh and incase you were thinking that something slithers above/below ground, that's a hard pass as well. Fish, on the hoof or on the feather is my protein of choice.

I listen to NPR for my daily dose of leftist rubbish but sometimes they have stories about things other than politics. They also mentioned that the fungi this story is talking about also has some of the same chemicals as hallucinogenic mushrooms. So... Not only are these sex crazed critters infected they are also high. All of this cicada business is bearable compared to last year at this time though.

The cicadas started today emerging around the Cincinnati area. Not heavy yet, but with the 80's for the 2nd day my bet tomorrow the flood gate will fully open.

Just took a walk and they are getting very active here.
My dog eats them. Sounded like the squirrels were after a few too.
1 of my pecan trees is flowering too. Probably won't get any pecans since I need at least 1 other tree to bloom same time but the potential is there for the next couple years. Simple things

If they would just come out in knox county. the bass in the lake are telling me they are hungry. I can't hardly wait. Gonna fish with them multiple ways. Not to mention all the laughing I will have at my daughters who hate bugs. I've kept a little quiet about it with my wife cause she wants to go to her mom and dads camper this weekend at prides creek. I will probably laugh all day long.
Aside from that who here is brave enough to try and eat one of these little buggers?

My wife's 8 pound ankle biter gives a 10 out of 10 review on them. She starts them down like candy.
