Any of you guys down south finding any yet? I have seen some photos of Indiana finds on another site. Seems a little early for even southern Indiana.

I'm a novice to the 'shroom. In central Indiana, when would you say they start popping up?

Supposed to be warmer with some off and on rain. Seems like once they start, you generally have about 2-3 good weeks. Hate to miss em!

My neighbor brought over a bag of around 80 blacks this evening. I went out with a flashlight and still nothing for this guy. Any day though...

I take it your in Marshall Co. with your name? Correct. I have still not found anything. A little irritating given that my neighbor found all of the ones in the pic above. I have some go-to spots that produce something each year, but still nothing.

Southern Daviess County-
I finally got out yesterday evening. I did something to my foot about 3 weeks ago while removing an evergreen from our landscaping. Dropped my non-running, all-metal chainsaw on my right foot. Dr says there is no fracture, but I'm not sure they are right. Sucker still hurts, just not as bad as 2 1/2 weeks ago.
Anyway, made it to my little bitty honey hole and found 23 black morels and one yellow that 3/4ths of them were beginning to dry out.
Foot was killing me at bedtime...

That could be, but I would have seen some stumps! Actually, he's a really good guy, we respect the property lines and get along well.

Will next week's weather end the fungus for the year, or make them think its time to start again.

Actually found three yellows today coming up in the gravel of one of the camp sites in our campground. Never grilled them before, but I was making backstrap anyway so I cut them in half, filled with a little cheddar cheese, and wrapped them in a small piece of bacon. They were pretty dang good that way.

What a great weekend. Started off by finding 9mm ammo at Academy. Then breakfast with the new granddaughter of mushrooms that her Daddy found yesterday. Then my son, daughter in law, and granddaughter found 110 mushrooms today. Ready for turkey season now after a Blessed Weekend.
