Only thing I find shroom wise is puffballs and we eat them as soon as we find them. They don't last long . If you find them you may have a day to use them.

Found more today going to try freezing and dehydrating them as well as making mushroom stock! The darker one was past its prime, but the rest of the mushrooms were fantastic! I really like these mushrooms, going to put more effort into finding them next year!

Any idea what these are? Type of puffball? Stump puffball? Looks like puffballs but never seen them on a tree before. I picked some and went home to do some research. Im certain they are a type of puffball known as a stump puffball. Looked just like a giant puffball on the inside. Feeling confident in the identification, I sauteed a few. They were good. Had some more the next day.

My boss tossed me a 6# hen today. He took me out to his truck to show me about 50# or more he found earlier. I soak for a day or 2 and change out the water. A lot of people say dont soak them, but history says different for us. Dang tasty!
