My primos squirrel buster just came in yesterday, I think I’ll get a chance to try it out tomorrow. For now, the cats love it but the misses hates it. Lol. Trying giving it to a kid that wont quit! Haha well, I would have to go out on a limb and say that she’d call me a kid that won’t quit. |

Dang. A month and a half into the season, and I've only been out once, half hearted. I usually wait till cooler temps and less leaves anyway. Obviously, the time to hunt them is while in a treestand deer hunting. Lol.

Got another one tonight for team 5, could tell it’s been a bit since I’ve went out in the woods. Missed some that I shouldn’t have missed. Should bring my personal total to 9.

Score 4 more for team#1 LCB. 3 for maddog's son and 1 for maddog. Saw several, just couldn't get a shot. My son and I were searching a very tall oak tree, for this gray, towards the end of the hunt. I spotted him, and shot. He came tumbling down, splash, right in the creek! My son rescued him, for me. Ever heard the phrase "like a drowned rat"? Well, here he is.....  Brings my son's total to 9 and mine 10, for the season. Here's my son, with all 4 on the tail gate, before cleaning.  |

One more for Team #1 LCB. Shot with the pellet gun between deer sightings. Then shot a doe at 11 yards. The skinning is just beginning. Will take longer today!😄 Personal total is 37.   |

1 more for team #7. Hit another but lost its trail after 25 yards or so and couldn't find it. Missed a couple as well. Went to the range today and got my rifles dialed back in. Now gotta wait until next weekend for some redemption haha.

1 more for team #7. Was wondering how it would be with temps in the upper 30s. Not a lot of activity this morning, and about the time it started warming up the wind started picking up. Only saw one but made a good shot. All around complete opposite from last weekend, but a good day nonetheless!

Two more for team 7. At one point I caught one moving through a tree and was getting ready to set up for a shot but at that same time another one jumped up on a log to my right about 15 ft away and was hopping along towards me. Reminded me of the velociraptor in Jurassic Park haha.. I kept still hoping I'd get a shot at one or the other but they both made off.  |

Uno mas for Team #1 LCB. Between vacation and the wife's bout with pneumonia, I haven't been to the woods for 3 weeks. Decided with the raised temps I would venture out midday to spray the deer blinds with Home Defense and put out more rodent bait. Hoping I would not run into any deer during this time. Helped as I rode the 4 wheeler all the way to the blinds. No white flags! Yay! Opened up the door to the first blind and used the air rifle to end a couple of squatters! Afterward I sat for about 45 minutes and finally had two squirrels running around out in front of me. Nailed this one and never saw the other one again. Called it quits at 1:45 to get out before evening deer movement started. Personal total is now 38.   |
