Only time I have any issues is a bad hit with the 17HMR. Then I usually end up with just the back and hind legs. And maybe one front leg if I'm lucky.

Tried an afternoon hunt today for a couple hours. Complete bust except for woodpeckers. Getting down to the wire, and a snowstorm to hit here Monday. Got some chores for tomorrow to get done, so no hunt. Will try again the next and final weekend.

Add 2 for Team #1 LCB. After taking care of a few errands this morning that I was not counting on, I got about an hour and a half in before the rain started. Only saw these two and was able to work my way in for a 15 yard shot and a 30 yard shot. Vacated both noggins and got a perfect eye shot on the second one. Felt like cheating with the snow camo.😁 Personal total is now 59. Not likely to change with 100% chance of rain for tomorrow.   |

The snow camo is the way to go. Last time I was out I got spotted from about 70 yds moving to get the gun up while sitting in a tree stand while wearing regular camo.

Well, another squirrel season has passed. Congrats omegahunter, on an awesome season! My woods, this year, just didn't seem to have the squirrels, plus 3 of my favorite woods got saw milled. Oh well, 6 1/2 mos. til limb chicken season, again!

Congrats. I slacked way off this season. When I did get out, didn't see a lot. Just finished up a 24 dozen bucktail jig tie for a baitshop that killed my last week of the season. Guess I will have to eat more walleye than squirrel this year.
