9:50 looks like 3/4 inch. Very fine snow flakes. Been snowing constantly since 8 just not piling up fast.
Birds are hitting feeders hard.

Still light rain and light winds here in Martinsville. Wind does appear to be increasing.
I need to get out there and refill the feeders. Little activity on them so far this AM.

22° here. Just plowed drive. Had a good 3 in. Figured would do it in shifts so it would t be so much last plow. Took atv and wagon over to wood pile and loadef up good befor it got to deep to make it. Got 5+ days of wood just out back door now. Birds still pounding the feeders with it snowing hard(cannot see acc lake approx 1/3 mi) Not much noticable wind but with wind out of the NE I am somewhat protected. Gonna go pick up momma from work with the 4x4 around 2;00 so she does not have to drive in this stuff. Will get her car tomarrow after roads are clear.

Rain started in Greensberg about 4:30 as I was leaving for work. It's still raining. It's supposed to continue to rain until sometime late tonight. What snow we get is completely dependent upon when the switch happens and how much melts with the ground already being soup.
My optimism is waning.

Coming down pretty good about an hour north of Indy. We've gotten at least 4" so far, 29 degrees and pretty breezy.

12 miles East of Plymouth Indiana, about 4" and still snowing very lightly. For all the doom and gloom that the weather people were saying about this storm, it'd probably be the end of the earth if they forecast for a storm like the 'Blizzard of '78.
Reminds me of Chicken Little......

Unless the possible lake effect expected tomorrow amounts to something this was another one of those weatherman crying "WOLF"forecasts. Laporte has about 3-4 inches with some minor drifting.

It has stopped snowing by me for about an hour . We got about 2 inches of snow total . They are calling for more snow starting around 4:00 pm . Only a 50% chance of snow .
