9-0 win yesterday in the supreme court. Considering a few very Liberal justices, that's a HUGE win!

My in-laws are dead set against Trump. Last Saturday, they started the conversation. I try to avoid politics with family, but they didn't get the hint. EVERYTHING is Trump's fault! He's racist, narcissistic, and mistreated the veterans and the auto workers. I calmly asked for specific examples of everything they were hating on him for and I got NOTHING! Nobody in here is a bigger supporter than I am, BUT, Trump can be his own worst enemy. Without question, they would vote for literally anyone else.

I'll say this: If you watch Fox news (I do, along with other news outlets) it would be easy to think Trump has this wrapped up already,by a HUGE margin. Quite the opposite is true. It's a LONG way until November and let's be honest. The Democrats are not stupid, they completely "out fumbled" us in 2020. Who knows what kind of disease, cyber attack, natural disaster or whatever could pop up at the right time. It's going to be an interesting 8 months for sure! Just think what would happen if cell service went out Nov 5 like it did last week. My point exactly!

Speaking of the election.. What’s you all’s take on Nikki staying in the primary in spite of getting clobbered? Scenario 1 - She thinks Trump will be convicted of some crime and then she will move in as she is running second. That will never happen. She will never pick up the Trump supporters. Lots of “Never Nikki” Republicans out there. Scenario 2 - She is placed on the “No Labels” group’s ticket. That’ll increase Slow Joe’s and Cackling Kamala’s chances of staying in office and completing the job of killing our country, Your thoughts ? . Definitely something fishy. I think she is possibly funded by Democrats in hope of Trump being "disqualified" in one way or another, but I don't know.

What's wrong with kilts? Or was it the bagpipes? My uncle was very active in a Scottish based organization. He and his wife would dress in very traditional garb. A cousin got married wearing a kilt too. Not his son either but from another uncle who refused to wear skirts! I love a good bagpipe but not sure kilts are ever going to a spot in my wardrobe. I get a kick out of them though. I am not a big fan of commercial BBQ though, just to keep it on topic! Don't mess with the BBQ mafia….they will put coleslaw on your BBQ Sammy Not trying to be argumentative, but coleslaw is pretty good on about anything, LOL.

44 years ago today, I sat in my Grandparents living room (my living room now) and watched the USA defeat the Russians. That started my interest in hockey and I still watch whenever I get the chance. Anybody else remember this?

I think it would be very surprising the amount of "world class" bucks that have been and are killed every year, perfectly legal and yet very very few people know about them. These hunters have no desire for social media and aren't out to impress anyone. To take this a step further. I'm quite confident some of the truly "elite" big buck killers are almost unheard from. Back in "the day", when fur prices were extremely high, the guys that showed up at the buyers towards the end of January with literally a truck load of high quality furs were not the ones sitting around talking about how good they were. They were out grinding every day and night. As soon as season ended, scouting and prepping for next fall started. Big buck killers are the same way they don't want attention they want success and they are beyond driven in achieving it.

Lifelong IU fan here. I have effectively "washed my hands" of them for the season. I will ALWAYS be an IU fan, but I don't need the frustration and this is NOT the first time I have done this.

For home defense, I vote for a pump action. Probably won't need more than 1 shot, but it's not going to jam and EVERYONE knows the unmistakable "shuck shuck" sound of a pump shotgun. That in itself,in a dark quiet house is liable to make an intruder run for the door.

Do you suppose there are chemical differences between individuals that cause ticks to be attracted to one person -vs- another? Reason I ask is because I hear lots of people that mushroom hunt, turkey hunt, fish, etc. constantly dealing with and worrying about ticks. I do as much of this outdoor stuff as anyone and see a few ticks, but rarely have issues. Maybe I just stink? ABSOLUTELY! If you ever want to go to the woods and not get ticks, take me with you!!

I was a senior in high school (about 20 minutes away as well) in 1979, our HS coach got our bball team tickets to several home games. Amazing atmosphere Bird's senior year. Never forget all the little white paper towels flying after the first ISU basket each game. Great that your daughters are able to experience this. Where did you go to highschool?
