Is it available at every location? We just had a new one open here in town and I haven’t made it there yet.

Now this really seems strange. My walleye dinner from Culver’s at Countyline and Emerson (Greenwood) cost $17.42! I texted one of my buddies and he went to the Culver’s at Kentucky and 465 (SW Indy). He ordered the exact same thing and texted me a pic of the receipt. They charged him $23.40!!!

My meal price was similar to yours. My buddy texted me his receipt and it was the same 2 piece. I think he is going to take a pic of my receipt into that same Culver’s, and ask them for an explanation.

We like most fish. Bluegill is our favorite tasting fish we catch and eat.
Just feel the need to say this, anybody shaming or dissing a Culvers walleye meal, we are talking about enjoying a fast food meal here.

Wonder if it's really even walleye? Good question. I was about to ask a similar question. How is walleye commercially grown and harvested? I don't care and am not doubting the authenticity, just curious. Put fried bluegill or crappie on the menu and I'd be the new best customer.

About everything they serve is cooked to order……there usually not many complaints from my experiences

I have not been there yet but I know Brownies in Morgantown (I think) usually has an all you eat walleye specieal on Fridays. Big Willys Lakehouse also has bluegill and walleye, at least that is what they claim.

I’ve still never been there, but my wife and kids have and really like it.

I don't care and am not doubting the authenticity, just curious. Put fried bluegill or crappie on the menu and I'd be the new best customer. University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point (UWSP) for the last 7-8 years in their Fisheries Dept. grew Walleye (WAE)indoors and figured out how to manipulate photoperiod and water temp to get them to spawn every month of the year. They also feed trained them so they'd eat commercial fish food, no need for live fish as food. SO, if a business wanted to start up and provide walleye year round to eateries, they could. BUT most likely the WAE that you are getting to eat now are commercially harvested from Lake Erie via fishing nets from commercial fishermen in Canada. Most likely Fyke Nets, but possibly gill nets. With the Fyke Nets, you can release undersized fish. Gill nets, the only way to target certain sized fish is by the size of the mesh. In a commercial setting, feeding the WAE indoors on commercial fish food, WAE can be hatched Feb 1st, and be 14" in length by Nov 1st.
