Public Law 221 It is a felony to touch or hit, in a rude insolent, or angry fashion an employee of a school corporation while the employee is engaged in official duties
In Indiana it is a felony for a person to communicate a threat to any employee of a school corp.

Can a felony be applied to a 16 yr old? And isn't it up to the county prosecutor to bring charges? It's not a mandatory thing, is it? (I would hope it was though.)

Yes a 16 yr old can be charged with a felony… depending on the crime and judge. If the teacher was allowed to carry a gun should they be allowed to use a gun to stop this ?
