That buck chased away 3 small bucks and was grunting up a storm. Got to watch them until dark.

Sitting in the woods tonight. A lone doe fawn just walked through. I saw 3 does crossing a hay field about an hour ago when I was walking in.

I ended up seeing about a dozen deer. Other than a 6 inch spike, all slickheads.

First morning hunting a WMA in KY. Just easing around scouting. Had a wall hanger 8 with a hot doe at about 60 yards but I couldn't get a shot.

I wasn't feeling too confident but hoped the wind would die down before dark and we would have a chance. Took my youngest back to the farm she got her doe at. Hid in the barn instead of the blind due to wind and rain. Of course a lone doe popped out right in front of the blind 150 yards away.
Maybe 30 minutes before the end of legal light we had at least 8 or so more come in at about 55 to 65 yards in the cut corn. I noticed a few coming alongside the barn where we could look through gaps in the wood. Thankfully we had positioned a door to shoot through prior to them coming.
She drilled a button buck from maybe 8 yards away shooting through one of those gaps. Got him back to the house and on ice now. Happened so quick I didn't have time to post earlier.
I'm hunting a WMA in KY this week, but hope to get her and her sister too, if we're really lucky, a buck during rifle season.

Hunted all morning on HNF. Slow, only a few squirrels. Set a camera up and headed to lunch before scouting another area.

Bow shop was hopping. Got some more arrows and broadheads for spares and they had plenty of 30.06 ammo, so picked up two boxes as well.

Couple 1.5 year olds wandering around at a distance. Couldn't tell if they smelled me, or something else has them acting up.
