I haven't seen a deer all morning, or even heard a shot.

Nothing all morning then had 3 does come running up over ridge to right (south) which is a bedding area. No shot opportunity. Then had another doe run right by stand coming from behind me. She stopped quartering away at 30 yards. First kill with my Savage 220 I won this year. She died in sight. Waiting just awhile to see if what spooked them shows up.

Sitting in ladder stand with my oldest. Would love for her to get her first deer. All has been quiet so far.

Nice 9 point cruised by at daybreak at 15 yards. I would guess 2.5 year old. Tall tines, but thin and inside ears. Hopefully I see him next year.

Saw nothing this morning from hang-on stand. Winds were erratic. Brought climber in to a different spot for evening hunt. Very quiet currently.

Nice one. Great shot placement too.

On my private land stand I get there at least 30 minutes before legal light. I used a leaf blower awhile back to clear a long path to stand to help slip in. But winds look unfavorable at that location based on current forecast. May still hunt HNF, getting there at daybreak.

I don't have a bow yet, so this thread keeping me excited for gun season. Just a few more days left to wait. Congrats to all who have had success so far.
