Had small, busted up 5 point come from opposite direction as doe. He hung around awhile. Couldn't figure out why she was just laying there. Then had another anterless come down hill. I'm not certain, but think it was bb so I passed on shooting.

Doe down. Crawled into same stand I saw 2 out of yesterday. Just light rain. Thought I saw movement about 50 yards out. Doe was coming down hill right at me. Shot was straight on. Had good rest. Bang, flop with my 30.06. Waiting awhile to see if anything else shows up.

Got down and checked out where I saw does. Jumped them as they had bedded only a little over 100 yards from my stand. Cat and moused with them but never got clear shot. Did find some really good rubs in the area though and a good spot to set up in my climber another day.

Sometimes the smartes shots are the ones we decline to take. Indeed; still doesn't mean you won't keep on trying to second guess yourself though! Not second guessing holding my shot, but am thinking I should have tried to sneak in. Other than 1 doe on Sunday, those were first deer I've seen in over a week.

Had two does in the brush about 75 yards at daylight. Too much brush and a house in that direction so no shot. Couldn't call them over. Debated sneaking their way, but no wind and really dry leaves so didnt.

23 degrees and winds dead calm for me. Saw 3 deer beds on way in. Hoping they were not spooked by me walking to stand.

First time hunting since Friday. Had doe go screaming by at 20 yards. No amount of "mehs!!" would stop her. I think landowner spooked her riding atv.

Thanks, I'll watch it when I get home. 5 longbeards just fed through. One had a huge paintbrush of a beard.

Had momma doe and 2 little ones come through. One looked like button buck. Need more to fill freezer, just couldn't bring myself to shoot her.

Trail mix, jerky, maybe a pbj, snickers and pop tarts. I get sick of pop tarts though. I bring hot chocolate especially when I have my kids with me. Anything to get them to stay as long as possible.

Heading to Ohio for wedding tomorrow. I'm stuck in traffic near Cincinnati. Saw easily 130 class 8 point right off the interstate on his feet in secluded field.

Bleated in a young 8 point, almost 9 point. He walked just upwind of my stand. Another year older and I may have taken a shot. Still real foggy here.

I was getting seasick the tree I was in was shaking so much from the wind. Did some speed scouting while it was windy. Found 2 scrapes freshened overnight and a rub on a tree as big as my calf.

A flock of 16 or so hens just fed by. Not sure of number, they just kept coming up the hill.

I'm live from the stand with treydog's bow. Good luck, hope a nice one steps in range. They were moving for me better mid morning yesterday.

Doe just ran by with small buck hot on her heels. Just little to far to take shot at her.
