Baiting is already legal imo , you can have a feeder & minerals all year long just not during season . So the disease argument doesn't make any sense to me . I think the law should be clear on using any bait products, it's legal the whole year or it's not and if not you shouldn't be able to purchase it anymore in our state .I think a lot of cheating goes on during season with baiting products now with people who don't get caught .

Plan on discing all my spring & summer plans this weekend . I rotated a clover chicory plot last year so plan on planting the same in that spot this year . I got a one acre bag of Frigid forage Monster Magnet for a second plot . The third plot will be all sunflowers , planted a 1/2 acre last year & never saw a flower , plan on a full acre this year .

Like Throback asked0-what exactly are you looking for?? just a one year bare dirt area or something that you won't have to worry about for awhile?? What is the site like? What are the soil conditions?? Asking your question the way you did leaves a lot open...kind of like asking what's the best truck? Chevy !!!!

I don't know what they did is illegal or not. If I had an employee tell me they fell asleep and fell down....I would be leary. But it may be worth seeking professional advice. Understandable. My incident is on camera... no faking those contortions! I would be talking to your doctor and a lawyer asap

Every person I talked to said "I wouldn't ever hunt with a high powered rifle and wouldn't go in the woods during season if they allowed it" then a few seconds late "but. I do have a (insert any caliber name commonly used for hunting deer in other states) that I have I use for coyote/target shooting and if they legalized it I might as well hunt with it" I too suspect there would be more than a few against it that would be out there with HPR's were they legal. I bet some even own a Crossbow now !

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't know the rules before going out ? The DNR even has a mobile APP us hunters can download to check rules & check in kills legally . SMH I guess you guys need to get back in the woods. Everybody is awfully testy over a couple comments I've made. Maybe, just maybe, if I decided to go I would have figured it out before hand..but probably not. Guess that makes people shake their heads, keep shaking. Think I'm a pretty ethical and law-abiding hunter. Needing orange to hunt our late season here where there is no gun season in is no more surprising than if I found out I needed it October first. All I am getting at is not everyone or everything people say on the Internet is the truth even though I am a French Model

I found my drill sitting at an old farm I drive by and saw it was never being used . One day a lady was out in the yard and I stopped and asked her about it & she said she was widowed and had no use for it anymore . She said I could have it for $250 & I told her I would be back in an hour with help to get it . I put new seed tubes on it and also a new treated feeder board so I have about $400 in it , not sure what it's worth but I am sure I can get my money back .

I have a IH McCormick drill and it plants the corn & sunflower seeds right along with the smaller clover & brassica seeds with changing the plates , the fertilizer box is pretty rusted but the grain seed box is in great shape .

Nice job on hanging on , just goes to show we never know what is going to happen . People behind you had no patience & could of made things a lot worse from the sounds of it .

I planted RR Eagle beans a couple years ago in a 1 acre plot , the deer over browsed the plot so it never did reach full maturity. , spent a lot of $$ on seed & round up for a plot that farmers have planted all around me . I now buy seed to create my own blends for summer & fall annuals with a couple acres that stay clovers & chicory. As far as seed with Buck on the bag or any thing you plant for wildlife is not wasted efforts ! I still read & learn on wildlife plots & projects so I can improve my land . Good luck to all this season!
