Put the seeds in a damp paper towel and in then a zip lock bag. Place the bag in your fridge for the winter. Pull them out in the spring and plant in potting soil. They will sprout in 2-3 weeks. I was able to get around 25 to sprout 2 years ago. How are they doing Salt ?

Which ones do you like, and if you had to buy one or two more to watch trails, which ones would you get? Moultrie, for battery life. X2 on the moultrie battery life & I find it nice to know if they steal it can't be used without the password code !

Throbak you're right , they stay on the clover till November or until the first frost . I usually don't hunt this plot till muzzy season .

My dad taught me all about gun safety & we rabbit hunted together a lot , my deer hunting started later when my best buddy talked me in to going with him . We have hunted together for 28 years now & he is still my best buddy

Mowed my clover off today and fertilized part of my turnips, oats amd raddishes. Not sure what it will do to it. I've never fertilized after the plants came up. I did notice there was not as much oats as I'd like. Usually I plant them separately, but bought a mixture of oats and winter peas this year. Don't know what a small winter peas plant looks like, but I don't think I've seen one yet. Hopefully I can make it over to the farm I hunt this week with the Bush hog and mow the roads and move a box blind. Looks good , the oats might be getting mowed over by the deer faster than you can see . I see so oats in your picture , I will get to check mine this coming weekend . Good luck

I've seen the earth scent refills but honestly never tried them. I tried them and could not stand the smell myself... I have both until the earth scent is gone ! Can't stand the smell either

A good friend helped us out with his big orange tractor and disc today. It was a long day but we got all the seeds in the ground and ran the cultipacker over them, nearly an acre total. Need to do a rain dance or two now. Truly a good friend, breaking dirt together. Keep us posted on how your plot does . What did you plant ?

This summer I put mine out with new off brand batteries to find out two months later that the new batteries were bad. No more off brand batteries for me. I learned my lesson. One reason I have not posted any pictures. I know the lithium are expensive, but once you try them you won't use anything else.

I plan on discing & planting next weekend as I took Monday off to make sure rain don't spoil my plans . I feel alittle pressure to get them in but I am planting in the southern part of the state so I should still be ok . Steiny the blind turned out good , finally a place for bad weather hunts ! How are your plants doing? I just got everything in the ground yesterday finally! I had a family emergency & the weather has been messing planting dates up . Good news is the family member is ok & after planting yesterday it rained overnight & this morning. I planted oats , radishes, turnips and clover mixture. Here is a picture of one of the smaller plots
