have had a pretty good season so far. shot a decent 10pt back here on opening morning of our bow season at first light. been to ohio a couple times in the first of november but couldnt connect on a good one. so i headed over to adams county illinois for their second gun season and was thinking on the way over i should have went to the first season also, but when i got there and hung some stand i seen that they were still rutting pretty good. ended up taking a 9pt with a forked g2 to make him a 10 on friday at 1pm. same day i shot my buck over there last year. 2010 Il. Buck 2010 IN. buck thought i would post these also. these two guys were going at it right under my stand. my stand is in the tree that Y's off right behind them. since i still have the ohio tag in my pocket im going to get back over there with a gun in hand and see if the good ones i seen back in november are still around.

lol, no he some how mush have thought he was going to fit through there when he was going down. he also got tangled in some old fence and broke about 3 inches off the tip of his beam. looked everywhere for it but as much as he thrashed it could be anywhere. he sounded like a dozer plowing through some trees. took a bit to get him unstuck from between the trees. have a buddy coming over to sit the same stand here in a lil bit. we are getting ready to shell the corn around the woods and i know there is one other big 8 that will go about 140 that i have got pics of back there all summer and fall so far. hopefully hes hanging around back there today. guess we will see this afternoon.

A lil delayed on getting this on here. been in the fields late and finally got in a lil earlier tonight. took a good 10pt at very first light on opening morning. he was one of he 5 shooters i had my eye on all summer around the house, with countless trail cam pics also. he couldnt resist a drink of water before he went to bed. had him come right in on me to 8 yards and have a stare down for about 10 mins.but he just couldnt figure out what was up in the tree 20ft when it was just getting light enough to see. luckily the 10 mins was what needed for good light. he turned walked back a few steps from where he came down the trail and turned towards the pond. he stopped broadside at 13 yards and i let him have it. he only went 40 yards and piled up. i only have a couple pics on my phone and do not have a memory card in it so i dont know how to get the pics up on here. if anyone can put them up for me i can text them to ya just pm me your #

yeah i know. she cant wait to get a late season doe. hopefully it happens, seems like she has wanted a doe more than she even wanted a buck this year. she already said she is only going to shoot a good buck from now on. i told her they dont come along all the time like it happend opeing morning. and she might have to wait a while or burn a tag if she holds out but she said she doesnt care.

My fiance shot her first buck on opening morning and it was her first time deer hunting now she is hooked. not the biggest rack but pretty crazy looking. the right side never grew and bigger than what you can see in the pic. then i shot a buck i have been after the last two years on November 20. big 8 that will probably score in the mid 140's. i have tons of trail cam pics of him but have never seen him till then. then i went off to Illinois. didnt get to hunt the first shotgun season because we were still shelling corn here. so i got to get over there for the second season. so i wasnt going to be that picky. ended up taking a broken rack buck. not what adams county is known for but i am happy with him. plus the deer movement was almost at a stand still also. my fiance still wants to get a doe so i will still be out in the woods a few more times. here are some pics

remington makes a extended rifled choke for smooth bore that take chokes. remington buckhamers will work real good with it.
