I liked the spirit of this ad. I thought Springsteen was a good choice for a "message of unity" because he's a pretty solid left-winger, and if he can say we need to cool it politically, then what is everyone else's excuse?
Basically, I think this is the kind of thing we need to see from corporate America. Less of the apologetic, contrived guilt "we can do better" ( even though we really didn't do anything )messages we typically get.
Of course, there are some things that I see no middle ground on; but there are many more that I can.

Pardon me if I dont buy into the message of unity from a guy who just a few short months ago, was threatening to leave the country if Trump won again.

Well, I see I lost my message when I tried to politely call Bruce a turd. I figured if I said something too mean I'd get static for that. I don't like him either, but remember the ad is from a company, it wasn't from or by Bruce. At least is wasn't overtly bashing conservatives or even promoting our persecution, which we are starting to see in the "News," and corporate America can't be far behind. Truth be told I didn't recognize him until it was pointed out in a news story. Perhaps that let me see it differently. I guess my point is that it's a step up in advertisements and should be encouraged? I don't know. It's a sad situation all around.

Only Bob DeNiro could have been a stronger voice for peace and unity...

The only way to get through to these corporations that stand for political correctness is with your pocketbook. Money talks especially to car manufacturers. Jeep didn’t have in my opinion a good quality product anyway.

Sas,
The premise of the ad is good. The choice of Springfield as a spokes person was totally wrong. 330 million + people in this country and there has to at least one person that could have delivered this important message that would have been a lot better received.
Instead of us talking about coming together and visiting a Jeep dealership we are discussing “why in the world did they choose this person that is ultra left and despises every Republican that was ever elected?”

The more I think about this, the more it steams me. One of the most outspoken far-left loudmouths is chosen to be the voice of reason? Are you kidding me? This is exactly what the corporate elite think of us common folk.
Can you imagine if they would have chosen Ted Nugent or John Voight to do the commercial? Chrysler's stock would have tanked by noon and there would be an all out call for a boycott.

Substitute "conformity* every time you hear unity. Do what we tell you and conform, because that is what is best for you. Then there can be unity. There is no unity with these people, it isnt really what they want and it will never happen. And jeep can take a hike.

Was saddened to see the words REUNITED STATES of America come up at the end of the commercial. I liked Bruce growing up, but when I started to realize he was a left wing extremist, I lost my urge to like him any more. Terrible choice for that theme.

Jane is high on his favorite list of people, right under Hitler.

Jane is high on his favorite list of people, right under Hitler. So Christmas cards and cookies traded back and forth every year? Probably an ugly sweater party thrown in there too I'll bet. I like her about as much as a Rosie O'Donnell, Nancy Pelosi, and Miley Cyrus marathon on the Hallmark channel. Tell your land owner I share his sentiments towards her. Also, thank him for his service.
