Hasn't this been brought up once, er, 10 times before?
Anyone notice the spotlighting bill wasn't introduced or tagged onto another bill last session? Anyone want to guess how many years it's been since that didn't happen?

Out early? They've missed 2 good months of shining. It's a lot more fun when it's not 20°

Finished the morning hunt with 9 does, 4 racked bucks and a gobbler. Can't say I've ever been covered up with deer, but can now say I've had deer in sight for 3.5 straight hours and at least one in bow range that whole time. Only 2 of the deer I saw were more than 40 yards out.

Guess I've found my new favorite spot. A young buck at daylight cruising, 5 does and a gobbler. Anyone that knows me knows I would have been happy just seeing the gobbler. TRUE.... I heard a BIG buck (180+) was killed up by Scales Lake. You hear that? I have a picture of one that big that was supposed to have been killed in that area. You know how that is though

First time hunt on a new property. Been saving it for the right time. Feels weird being surrounded by wood, except a couple of houses Already saw a young buck and checked my camera on the way in. Lots of deer movement through here and a perfect north wind.

Perfect south wins to hunt a stand I've only hunted one time. It's comfortable and in a decent spot if there's any cruising going on.

I wasn't aware that .35 was legal yet. Thought that didn't go into affect till next year? I believe the case can be trimmed to meet the current maximum length and be legal now

I've had my son out the last two days killing pumpkins with his new muzzleloader. If a deer is within 50 yards, he should have no problem at all.
I have to make a trip out to a box blind and put the rubber mat on the floor, hang the curtains and drop the heater off to keep him warm. Can't wait.
I got bored a work last night and ordered a new jacket. Hope it makes it by Saturday

...if I see one more dead deer on facebook that I've gotten pictures of since summer, I'm going to quit.
It's up to 3 now and one that I know was killed but it's not on facebook. None have been shot off the property I hunt and the last one was taken 1.7 miles away.

Due to the lack of woods I have to hunt, I am always in sight of or on the edge of a field unless I hunt one small property. Would much rather have a track of woods to hunt.

I shot one with a muzzleloader once at 10 yards that just kept walking. I could see where I hit and he never reacted at all until right before he fell over. Then he just stopped and wobbled a little bit.
I would get some lighted nocks.

Legal? I'm going to say no. I wouldn't go after a wounded bear at anytime without a gun.
Heck, I think it's illegal to have your weapon loaded after/before shooting hours, isn't it?

I pulled a BIG DUMMY this morning. I got almost all the way to my parking spot for hunting and it suddenly hit me that I had hung my bow in the garage after I shot it after my last hunt to uncock it. It was still hanging in the garage! So, now I am back home and will go up to hunt this evening. Sure is a bright full moon out there.... I've never done it, but I talked to a guy at the gas station this morning that did! It was good seeing you Woody, and you were in better spirits than I would have been.

I've seen way more deer this year than last - just goes to show it's pretty local. Same here. More bucks, does and a healthy crop of little ones. More than any of the last 5 years.
