Congrats! That's weird not one male yet. Could it be the males are smarter? 😂 I don’t know, now that I think about it they all have kind of a blond fur. 😅

Woody: Could you add a 5 point buck to team #2 for me? Just a spike on the left side. Congratulations, that’s certainly a different rack.

# 4 Another one bites the dust. This one is really dark colored, and another female. Man I hate to think what would be out there next year if I wasn't putting the hurt on these girls.

We are hunting east of Vevay in Switzerland county. We just heard a shot north of us on Popcorn Ridge road. The shot was from a rifle and not a muzzleloader. I hope our CO is out patrolling today. I wonder what my muzzleloader sounds like? Savage Smokeless with the bullet going north of 2600 fps. I would say like a 30-06

Was that the one by Hudson Lake? No, he was between Bremen and Nappanee . It was a family deal, his dad was buying fur before I was born. He took it over about 40 years ago. The only people I ever sold fur to.

Another bites the dust. That make 3, and all have been females. That should put a dent in the population. Don't stop now!! I don't know if they are prime or not, last year Wyoming 'yotes were bringing $75 each, skinned, fleshed and dried. Here I'd say knock $30 off of that price (WAG). Don’t worry I’m not going to quit. My fur buyer retired ,now I have to find a new one, that’s the problem.

Good luck! Was planning to sayto hunt tomorrow as stated to the Mrs. She said do you know what tomorrow is I said Saturday muzzle loader season. She said what's the date and I answered. She said what else is Dec 7... I said Pearl Har...bor, Happy Birthday honey! I love you. So I have to skip tomorrow even though I got the "do whatever you want" line which I usually take advantage of... So I am just gonna get the kids and run off to the stores for a gift. I'll keep her in suspense until tomorrow morning... Smart man, very smart man. 😉

schall53, what trap are you using and what type of set? Looking at the trail cam pics here behind the house there are numerous individual 'yotes and at least one pic that has 2 of them in the same picture. All coming thru at night. I’m using MB 550 with offset jaws. Sets I’m using are regular dirt holes, a few squirts of coyote urine and Hawbaker coyote lure on the backing. A small bit of prepared paste bait in the hole. Traps are waxed and dyed and I wear gloves and hip boots to make the sets.

I just confront them personally when I catch them in the act and explain where the property lines are and that they aren't supposed to be on the ground without permission. This is really pretty minor stuff that law enforcement really doesn't want to put much effort towards unless there is theft or property damage. Really don't have too much trouble anymore and get along good with most neighbors. If they wound a deer and it heads into my place, they get hold of me before entering and I generally assist and decide if and when to shut off the tracking. Getting all worked up, mad and mean about it just wears you out, it's not worth it. That’s basically what I do. If it gets more serious, I set my nephew on them. He hunts the property also and is a law enforcement officer. End of problem.
