I’m sure glad that they aren’t in my family, don’t sound like much fun.

I'm getting ready to head out on my last goose hunt of the season. It'll be my first hunt on my new ground. I'm not overly optimistic due to the fact that I will be going solo with no decoys, calls and very little experience. I had a friend lined up to go with but, I woke up to a text message from him at 3:30 this morning stating he couldn't make it due to a work call out. I did go back to the property last night. The river runs through the back end of it and there's some flooded timber. I was hesitant to sneak in too close but, I was close enough to hear some chatter in there. I also got to watch a couple lock up and drop into the timber. My game plan is to slowly slip in and let their chatter guide me where I need to go. I'll be standing in the water and will have a couple hooks with me to hang my bag and gun. At the end of the day, if I don't so much as fire a shot, I'm certain I'll be content in just watching God's creation doing what He's designed them to do. Good luck to anyone and all getting out. Hunt safe and God bless! Good luck!!

All on minnows or did you toss jigs too? Those are slabs! Minnows, jigs, and freshwater shrimp, man those things are tiny.

You guys have fun playing in the snow. The wife and I slipped out of there this morning. Stopped south of Atlanta for the night on the way to my neighbors place in Florida . Going to catch some crappies with him next week.

I set it up for elk in Colorado. 150 grains of pyrodex behind a 338 gr power belt platinum. Accurate out to 200 yds. Colorado you can not use sabots and limited to loose powder. and no optics, correct? Correct

Nice shot! I have the same rifle, I really like it. what powder charge in bullet are you using out of yours? and yes I really like that rifle I killed a buck several years ago at 209 yards with it I set it up for elk in Colorado. 150 grains of pyrodex behind a 338 gr power belt platinum. Accurate out to 200 yds. Colorado you can not use sabots and limited to loose powder.

I just counted and of the 50 hunters in the contest we killed 82 . I think that’s pretty good!
