He was kinda vague about the whole thing bsu. They change the pres. every year, and I don't know this guy and he doesn't know me. I have another friend on the board of directors aside from my accountant and I also know the rangemaster, so I'll contact them both and see what the story is.

The Johnson County Park next to Atterbury. Looks good. That may end up being our best bet Woody, but I haven't given up on the Bell club yet, I'm still working on it. I agree though, that we need to nail down a definite date soon, so we can make necessary reservations before it's too late.

Guys - I'm going to say we better go ahead and plan on shooting at the Atterbury range and barbecueing and camping at the Johnson county park as Woody suggested. The board of directors of the Bell conservation club wants me to submit a proposal for their consideration at their next meeting on April 21. If they decide to turn it down at that late date, we may not be able to get in at the Johnson county park.

OK .. here is the deal.
I asked for shelter house availabilty for May and June.
Here is what I got:
May 19
May 26 (Memorial day weekend)
June 16
June 23 (One shelter house remaining)
June 30
I didn't ask for July yet. I though we could kick this around and if needed we could go to July or August.
We do need to get a date and get our reservation in ASAP.
The shelter houses are $42.40 and that includes tax.
Camping with electricty and water is $15 a night. They do have a dump station.
Primitive camping is $8 a night and they do have a shower house.
Lots of motels 7 miles away at the I65 and 31 interchange (Exit 76)
They have a resturant on site.
For the ladies that don't shoot there is an Outlet Mall (Edinburgh) at the I65 and 31 interchange (Exit 76)
I'm going to start a poll on the dates so we can get the ball a rolling.
Thanks,
WW

Atterbury Shooting Range is schedule to open in April or May, so bing a Government Project it will open late ... so I my vote would be for a date in June to give us the best chance at having Atterbury Range Opened. But I'll try to make any date we agree upon. This is going to be a great time and besides I needed to test my BBQ sauce on people besides just my family. ;D

Hey woody!!!! I got a new toy to play with when we go!!! It's the FN P-90in the 5.7x28mm round. Got the matching pistol as well. The wife loves them!!! we wentt to the range yesterday to see what they would do. She went through about 100 rounds and fell in love in short order.

Well, here's a list of the ammo to bring along if you want to play a little more than a "try-out" of the weapons.
.308/7.62 NATO .223/5.56 NATO 5.7 x 28mm 7-30 Waters .357 Herrett 9mm 40 S&W 22 LR
I will try to add a .45 ACP before this event.
If anyone would like, I would also be happy to bring along 20ga shotguns and a 28 ga shotgun for trap shooting for the kids to use...as well as those who can appreciate all the bang without the kick.
I also have a couple 10/22'sI can bring along as well as a Winchester 94 in 30-30 and a few Encore 209x50 Muzzleloaders.
You guys let me know what you want me to drag out and I will bring it along if I have it. If I don't, I am sure that I know someone who does.

With all of the firearms fun we are planning on having, I wonder if the BATF will drop in to pay us a visit? ?? ;D

If we plan on using the new range at Atterbury during the picnic then someone needs to see about reserving it. h.h.
