I did an all-day sit and never saw a deer. That is better than I could do! In the late season, I see 99% of the deer in late evenings in the ag fields. I hardly ever hunt mornings now, but will try a few this week since I am off work and can hunt some thick woods.

I hit public land again. Saw 3 total. One bigger doe at 340yds. Two pups at 120yds. They havent cut the beans yet, but have the combine and semi's on the property today. Last year they didnt plant crops, just let weeds grow 6-8' high. This year the beans are keeping me from getting a long range shot. I dont hunt a treestand here because its a long ways back, and hardly any trees in the right spots. The fields are 800yds long and only 50yds wide, with brush in between, and swamp on far end. I shoot prone on a bipod so need a clear field to hunt this way. I can hit accurately to 400yds with this gun. It has the accuracy, velocity, power, glass, and a rangefinder to do it. Have been with this gameplan for at least 10+ yrs successfully.

How do you post pictures for it to show up on the thread? It’s been a while for me but I have an incredible buck I want to show that popped up on my new property trail cam

Beautiful morning. Still got some snow to brighten things up on the Laporte/Starke county line. You couldnt paint a prettier picture. Just need deer, or I would even settle for a coyote! Lol

Nothing so far. Hate to keep beating the same drum, but late season morning hunts have almost never produced much for me. At least as far as does are concerned.
One thing is for sure, the next morning hunt will be for squirrels!

Live at the parking lot at work, 5 does down the hill grazing, waiting for them to clear out so I don't spook them. Gonna have to work a little later today...

Go figure. A deer came in behind me, DOWNWIND, finally shows, and its a nice buck. Passed by at about 75yds. Lol. Buck tag already punched. No surprise.

Deer were definitely out and moving last night. Aside from lone button bucks wandering around, everything else seems to be herded up pretty well. Seeing groups of does together as well as groups of does and bucks together. Yesterday morning I watched 4 bucks and 4 does mill around a field edge about 400 yards away. Did not see any of the bucks pestering/pushing does.
My buddy shot a doe last night after having about 2 dozen deer in a field out in front of him. We haven't seen groups like that in over 5 years.

Picked up a property in the deer reduction zone a couple weeks back. Havent hunted it yet. Have had a cam out for about a week now. I've got 4 deer on cam as of this morning.
A lone doe, a lone buck, and a buck pushing a doe around. All at night...

Everything around my area is at night per camera. Just brought them it for the winter. Day activity is very minimal. Only a couple does.
