Been getting pics of a Giant all summer at my farm in Kentucky. He came outta velvet this week and has been consistently coming by my stand every afternoon during daylight. Hope to send a Rage his way Friday afternoon. Love to post some pics but computer illiterate. Best of luck to all youth hunters this weekend 👍🏼

Heavenly Father,
It is that time of the year again where we go to the woods in search of one of Your creatures. We thank you Lord for these opportunities and the physical, financial, and mental abilities to hunt. We thank You as we know that there are a lot of folks that would love to do this and cant for various reasons. We count this as a blessing.
We pray not to kill a deer, but for the sheer enjoyment of the hunt. We do pray that if we do get the opportunity to take one of Your deer that the shot is true for a quick death and an easy recovery. May all the hunters have an enjoyable hunt whether they take anything or not. Most of all we pray for safety for all the hunters out there. May they return safely to their families at the end of the hunt.
In Jesus's name we ask and pray..
Amen

I have two urban spots. Neither are good for morning hunts. I would do more damage than anything else. This evening I’m going to try to make it to my best urban spot.

Cant catch em if your lines not in the water...so I'm in my tree. Hot as satan's sweat but I'm finally hunting. Taking the smallest deer possible. No big doe drags for this boy tonight.

Well I wimped out. Played 18 holes and thought better of dragging and cleaning a deer in this heat. Next weekend is my wedding and then going to Alabama for a week so I’ll be out after I get back. Good luck guys!

Just shot a doe under my stand at 5 yards. She winded me and was gonna bolt. I shot high I think, the adrenaline shakes had me bad....

Found the arrow and a clean miss:). Silly that close but just punched the trigger and lifted in excitement. No follow through. I took my eyes off the scope before the bolt hit the ground. Glad though. Way to hot to drag and clean it at home with the humidity. A great night in all and so good to feel excitement again with the shakes. Enjoying a cold beer and my firepit now.

Much rather have a clean miss than a bad hit. It's really easy to peek

Doe down..... urban zone ( or whatever they like to call it now ) Lake County. They were moving big time this morning. Had one come in and give me a shot at 25 yards. She was down 30 yards after that.
