Saw a group of five does on the morning sit. They were a 'loose' group meaning they were spread out but traveling in the same general direction. They showed up about 30 minutes after I got in the blind.
Evening sit in the same place, nothing.

Decided to get some trail cameras up on my new property. I haven’t been there in a week but the landowner went out and checked the camera only to send me this picture. I have never hunted any land to have a buck like this on my cams. Any idea what he might score?

150 B&C with gross around 162. Similar to the one I took this year.

We had trail cam pics of several does going by during hunting time over the weekend. Sat there tonight, had wind in favor, full camo, sat like a statue, saw NADA. Bummer.

Was hoping to finish the season off with a doe with the muzzleloader but finished it with this...Seems kinda early to be shedding antlers already.

Had 5 does come by at 8:54. 4 just finally walked off toward the west. Christened the H&R Sidekick. Well, here is my pic. Was a day into a case of shingles last Saturday! Was on front of scalp and right side of forehead down to the eyebrow. Got antiviral meds and took a trip to the ophthalmologist this morning to make sure eyes are ok since they are beginning to swell almost shut. Eyes are fine. Hope I can get straightened up enough to take Dad back out this Saturday again. Baffling the doctor that I do not have pain, just pins and needles tingling and itching like crazy!

Brian K. omegahunter Congrats on your deer! I've not been out since last Wednesday. Lots of stuff with the kids going on this time of year. I do think I'll be able to get out tomorrow night if it isn't raining. I did see a big mature buck cross the road where I work at about 0625 this morning.

Time will refine your hunting and success will improve. I'm just getting to the point where I can study the deer yearly. Kids are grown up!

I had a truck in front of me hit a small buck this morning on my way to work. When I looked around to make sure there weren't any other deer close by I saw 3-4 does out in the field. It was the first time I've seen deer in that field in a few weeks.
