Didn't somebody say the State Park hunts we're back to the old "buddy system"? Thanks for the correction, I didn't realize it changed back. Yep they changed it back, I liked it better last year.

I forgot about these, and I need to get hunting buddy information together. Anybody know the application deadline right off? August 20th. 👍

Some common sense on the rule makers would have eliminated that problem before it became a problem. To me it sounded like the guy that wanted the new system in place likes to micro-manage.....

Anybody else getting excited to see the results? I was just thinking about this today. When are they supposed to be posted again?

Anybody else getting excited to see the results? I am, I almost started a new thread just to ask when do they draw? This is my first year registering for a reserved hunt. My uncle pushed me into it as I always buy my license last minute into October. We are hoping to get drawed for Ft. Ben! That's all we put in for.

October 3.
I have no idea is this is even close to a correct date, but it was my answer when one of my draw buddies asked my this morning. :-)

Seemed like it was about 3 weeks into September last year.. a little earlier the year before. I'm sure someone could dig up a thread on here and see.
They usually draw the military refuge and reduction hunts separate, one usually out before the other. Some of the refuge hunts are early October, and maybe even youth season, so I'm sure they'll be out before October.

My son was drawn for Atterbury archery. Never been there. It gives no information as far as what areas the hunt takes place in. Would like to at least look at a map and not go in completely blind. Anybody have any insight as to where the deer hunting areas are? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Trash dump can all be great places there. Ridge tops with white oaks can also be great there. Nothing wrong with thick places they hide in either. All else fails follow the guy with a hitch haul on the back of his truck or SUV as long as it's not a silver minivan😉
