Non-hunters and maybe even a lot of hunters will start to think that ALL hunting video "stars" cheat..
The DNR watched them that long? I wonder why it took so long to bust them?
This is getting old..

This goes to show that just maybe something is getting done with what every sportsman turns in even if it's not as soon as they would like. A C.O. basically has to catch someone in the act and the more evidence they can compile the better.

Maybe instead of the buck checking scrapes he was checking a big old pile of corn? It is possible that she killed that deer and another pretty good one all legal like, BUT any deer that she has ever killed or will ever kill from here on out will be suspect.

I noted they seized a crossbow at the scene. I only see them posing with compounds. Probably just a prop I guess.

Her side.. She claims that the "monsters" that she took in the last 2 years were taken without any use of bait. But my question is, if they had such good luck with those bucks with no mineral blocks, then why did they feel the need to use blocks now? So my thought is they used them every time.

Anyone ever see a "working cattle farm" that did not have salt or mineral blocks out?

^^^^^ None that I have been on.
Wait, did she say bone we're present on the property or that they had never used them on the property?
So, with suck a high profile case getting bounced around, will there be a push to "clarify" the law?

They know the law just as well or better than any one else. They are just plain lying cheats IMO.
They know the laws as well as they WANT to know them, just like a guy asking a park office clerk if he needs this license or that one or "hunter orange on a blind if it's in the park".

Maybe explain the part your saying needs clarity!

Co’s Don’t waste 3 years watching and collecting info on someone doing something legal. I would say their case is pretty well investigated.

Based on the way the law is written, a good lawyer will get the charges thrown out.

Her explanation makes this sound like it's a one time occurrence. Not so if the DNR had been watching and gathering data for three years.

Based on the way the law is written, a good lawyer will get the charges thrown out. Explain your thoughts .... and cite a case where this has been over turned in the past!

I can't give a specific example, but I also know how the American justice system works, good lawyers can get you out of anything. Based solely on the information provided it appears to be a three year investigation to get what they have. I'm sure there are more details but three years to get someone hunting 50 yards from a removed mineral block seems underwhelming. At this point you have to have a prosecutor willing to prosecute the case and a judge willing to hear it.
