There's too many facts in that article for it to be popular.

I remember Trent well. We bumped heads on some things but ended up with mutual respect for each other.. Here is another article there.... wildindiana.com/a/deer-rifle-controversy/These writers sure love to perpetuate the "insurance companies myth"...

I remember his first Deer about 10 years ago when he started deer hunting. I believe he works within the optic industry now.

Trent did a wonderful job and as some have said stated way too many factual things for this to gain huge following or sharing level. I'm simply relieved to a point now that the HPR controversy and disagreement between allowed pistols and rifles is over (for the most part). The belly aching can subside and the hunting world in Indiana can be a little less noisy (pun not intended)

Very good article; but in the end it's always about the "feels". Once it's been that way for a while it will die down. The majority of people just don't handle change well.

If you are pro center fire rifles for deer hunting in Indiana, it's not hard to write an article and come up with data that supports your opinion.

There is no need for them. No need to not have them. It all comes down to want and I thought that it was pretty evenly split or even slightly tilted toward those that did not want them.
No matter the reasons given from either side .... its nothing more than "want" vs "dont want".
Never should have happened .....

If you are pro center fire rifles for deer hunting in Indiana, it's not hard to write an article and come up with data that supports your opinion. And if you're not a big supporter of hprs, you could write something like this that was posted on the same site.... wildindiana.com/a/deer-rifle-controversy/

Never should have happened ..... I can't disagree. While I know plenty of people who are happy that legal hpr usage is a reality, I don't know anyone who is really happy with the way it was pushed through....

one of the problems every one seems to be over looking is the same Polititions that pushed Canned Hunting , Deer farming and Now HPR Can also see to it that every deer in the state is killed . Doesn't mater if it's by HPR,Deer Farm introduced Disease long Seemingly unlimited harvest Or what ever , Nothing done has the health of the herd in mind .. I don't think we have seen the end , only the beginning of Political wildlife management at the hands of untrained in the field of wildlife management policies led by their lobby
