While y'all are trying to see how far away you can wound or kill....I'm gonna stick to woodsmanship and seeing how close I can get undetected with my sticks strings and pointy things and my smokepoles

The gun shop rumor I heard the other day was that this year when the new regulation flyers come out they will say something to the effect that factory .35 Remington and 30/30 Winchester will be legal this year. I didn't argue, didn't see the point but has anyone else heard something to this effect?

I didn't argue, didn't see the point but has anyone else heard something to this effect? I think we hear this almost every year. I will tell you that the DNR got a LOT of input on increasing the number of legal centerfires cartridges. The .35 Remington, 30/30 and 45/70 was mentioned a lot. Quite a few also asked for any cartridge from .243 on up. Even if this was proposed by the DNR and approved it would not go into effect until next year.
